    Hey guys,

this is for you that have had various boards installed for at least six months to a year. Are you still happy with your choice or are there some gripes which make you wish for more? If so, what are the Pros and Cons of your board?

Sure there are a few threads out there discussing this, but I'm interested in the long term satisfaction. Please chime in and show some pics while you're at it :worthless:

Here are mine. They look great in my opinion but the paint hasn’t really held up well in 2 years.
These are photos when they were new.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Seems several mfgs are offering either powder coat (less $$) or textured bed liner coat (more $$$), GoRhino being one of them. Do you recall which coating you have? If they aren't holding up that well you may have the textured powder coat - although powder coat should still be pretty tough. When you get a chance, please post a current pic of the finish for comparison.

Looks like it is powdercoat from this link: https://runningboardwarehouse.com/p/n-fab-black-wheel-to-wheel-nerf-bars/nfb-t0786cc-tx/

I'll get a pic as soon as I can of the current condition.

I had the same N-Fab steps, which had the same problem with fading paint. They were also a magnet for large rocks while off-road, but that may be more operator error than the steps’ fault...

I really liked the set of Tyger Star Armor steps I had before the N-Fab. My wife did not, so they didn’t stay on the truck long. They had what seemed like a decent bedliner coating that should have held up well. My only complaint was the stupid engraving in the steps, but that can be covered with grip tape. There is another clone of them on Amazon now that has diamond plate steps instead of the “star” steps, of those interest you, but I can’t speak to the quality of the other brand.

I looked into it now and found they have a 5 year limited warranty but it says I'm responsible for shipping them and I'm sure that won't be cheap.

As many of us have wives, do you recall what her main gripe was about the Tygers? I showed them to my wife and she didn't like them because the top plates didn't run the full length. She thought it may be an issue with getting heels stuck or such :notsure:

I've seen shipping charges hovering around $100+ for boards. You might just wanna call their customer support. Advertising like this is not in their best interest.

Anyone running these? Square or round? Read some review that they look nice but may be a little flexible under load. Some people also say that the steps are fine going up, but can be tricky coming out of the truck?

I like the fact that they have full front to rear metal steps. Looks sharp! How long have you had them on?

I really like the style of the Dominators. I just don't like the way they mount with all the brackets.

They have to do it to make them fit multiple vehicles, it would just be nice if they mounted with brackets that were attached to the steps like the OEM ones.

Yes, thanks. I chose the Dominator steps because I like that they run full length of the cab so you don't mis-step like some of the other styles. I also like they hug up close to the truck and don't hang too low. I had them about a year and works great for our needs

I'm actually happy to be without any running boards. They were the first thing to go after I got my truck. I'm tall enough, 6'-2", that they were just getting in my way getting in and out of my truck.

Well worth the money, especially when you consider that nobody makes them for the regular cab anymore.

I still have my stock step bar that came on the limited. I have no plans on upgrading as they serve their purpose.
Plus, on this rig I like the stock look! (Or stock look Sorta)
