    Happy Holidays Everyone!

Just yesterday my steering was getting stiff when turning left, felt like I was turning without any hydraulic support at all, but turning right was smooth as glass. I looked at my power steering fluid and it was at a great level. Is my rack going out, or could it be a pump? Thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers!

Are you hearing any noises when you turn the wheel? The pump usually will make a whining noise when it begins to fail. The rack might have bad seals on one side, which would explain the ease of steering one way, and difficult the opposite way.

I have not heard any unusual noises. There is a very small chirp the second the engine turns over when it's cold in the morning, but it's just one chirp, and that's all. I'll be able to look into it tomorrow. @w666 can you explain why I should check the lower ball joints? Could that cause the stiffness? I had the front end looked at about 700 miles ago and I was told it was good. But obviously things change!
