    Cambridge University Press discontinued publishing amateur astronomy resources some time ago, so if you like using a "paper" atlas at the eyepiece, as I do, your last opportunity to acquire a new copy of "Sky Atlas 2000" is through Sky Publishing, where they still have copies of the unlaminated desk version.

    One of my favorites, I had all the second editions (I think) except this one, till now.

    Not much of a star gazer but 3I/Atlas caught my attention. Should be interesting when it reappears late November.

    Awesome photo! Just out there in the vast nothing. WOW!!! :)
    The numbers involved with space regarding distance, time, and shear volume are mind bottling!!! :) it amazes me the numbers that the scientists come up with. It is hard to explain, for me it is all just fricken amazing. Things around us are very ancient and space is just that, space, forever space.............

    Thirty some years ago we paid a fee and had a staf named after our daughter. It is in the books and will be there for a very long time that I know of.
    I had to call our daughter, this is the number.

    For users of Rigel Quickfinders, Jim at ScopeStuff has produced a riser for it that I find quite useful - no more laying my head against the OTA to sight through the Rigel:

    This morning's total Lunar eclipse:

    The crescent seen here is displaying the shadow of the Earth, its curvature unlike a normal Lunar crescent phase;
