So, I'm about to install my 700-Tun Spod and I need advice on getting the harness's white plug though the firewall (for the second time......I F'd it up on last attempt). Has anyone done this? Any tips? I thought about drilling a 1" hole through the bottom of the big rubber grommet, very slowly, as low as I can away from the big mess of wires going through there. Thanks in advance.

    Lost track after #1.
Does the other end have a smaller connector? If not, take some pics of the wire config, de-pin it, tape it up, shove it thru and re-pin it.

get a partner and a flat head screw driver, stick the flat head between the out edge of the grommet and the fire wall and push towards the center of the grommet, have your buddy feed the harness thru, pull the flat head out and the grommet will seal around the harness. thats what I did 4 years ago when I installed mine.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
mark the wire positions on the connector, de-pin the wires from the connector and wrap in electrical tape. then push thru the firewall, repin the wires into the connector.

That looks like the one that goes behind the sunglasses holder, but its been a couple years since I did mine.

That's a standard Molex connector. Take a picture of the back of the connector noting wire locations. Then take a small or Jeweler's flat blade screwdriver. One wire at a time push from the rear of the connector and insert the jeweler's screwdriver in the front. This should depress the locking tab and then pull the wire and pin out from the rear of the connector. Hope this helps

I cut a slit in the firewall rubber grommet from the top about 2" or so, reached my hand up to pull the rubber down a bit and while the connector (taped up nice and tight with electrical tape) was in my hand as well, I started to slowly feed the connector through the slit I made until there was enough showing in the engine bay side where I could pull the rest of the loom through.

I tried for about 3 hours to depin the connector and only got 1 or 2 wires out so I just cut the damn cable :) I had a bunch of other wires going through the firewall already so getting a connector through there wasn't going to happen.
