Is it optional or a must?

    For me it's a must.
I don't like looking in the engine bay and seeing a red power wire. Eye sore IMO! It serves as a barrier from engine heat and harsh weather too!

Thank you for the feedback! Do you just use is it in the engine compartment or underneath the carpet inside the vehicle also?

I loom everything. I use a lot of braided loom which is a little trickier but completely worth it to me.

I wouldn't use split loom under carpet 'cause it'll create a big bulge. I'd run as little under the carpet as possible and and use the door sill to get from the engine bay to the B pillar.

I like to use it in places like door panels. Zip tie it with factory wiring where rubbing can occur. Power wire gets split loom all the way for me. I replaced all my wiring for the most part.
    It's dirt cheap too!
