Most on hear will say that the speakers are not the problem, it is the Head Unit. The HU (and or amp) is very under-powered. New speakers may only net modest gains. Although many on hear do a complete gut job for their audio upgrades.

Our new 50 watt HU in our 2007 pushes the stock speakers surprisingly well.

    Good Luck!

Many threads on this. Gets more complicated if you have the JBL system.

For just the speakers, you have endless options of brands and costs. Most of us change the front speakers from 6x9 to 6.5" components. You will need an adapter for each door to accommodate aftermarket speakers - the stock speakers are very shallow and most if not all aftermarket speakers will hit something inside the door without the spacer adapter. I had applied sound deadening material on the inside and outside skins of the doors and it made the stock speakers sound a lot better. I did use around 60sqft of material on the doors.

Just installed these cheap fosgates tonight. Figured they had to be better than the cheap stock and at only 45w rms they may match up ok. Only did the rear. Got minimal gain if any. The stock head unit sucks. Going to upgrade the hu and dynamat the doors. Going for something with CarPlay

LOL! probably 25 or 50 watts.
I was pleasantly surprised by the difference. No plans to upgrade speakers unless something changes, like they blow or fail from more powerful HU. :)
