Hey new to the forums guys. Installing a 3/2" life on my 2018 tundra platinum crew. And having issues up front. I'm good at wrenching (can rebuild motor) but for the life of me cant figure out what wrong with installing spacer or if it's just not the right one for truck. The lower control arm dose not come up enough and it feels like my shock is alrdy bottomed out. And my upper control arm is so far down and on a angle its hitting on my springs. It's a ready lift 3/2". Thanks

    Check your lower
Ball joint/steering knuckle area. As you jack up the lower control arm those need to be lined up. They easy get hung up.

Make sure the sway bar mounts are unbolted. The cam bolts on the LCA are loose. Jack up the LCA and make sure that lower ball joint lines up with the steering knuckle perfectly.

I removed lower shock bolt and swaybar. Then loosened lowercotroll arms, the removed lower ball joint mount swing down LCA and the removed top bolt of shock/strut. Lining up lower ball joint mount was easy just used a tie down strap and ratched them close. And I stalled bolts will take more pics when I go home for lunch

If everything is bolted back on the truck can you jack up the LCA anymore without the whole truck going up?

Make sure you have the spacer installed correctly some have a certain way thay have to go on. Should be an indicator saying this side out or in etc somewhere along those lines.

Make sure that sway bar isn’t making contact Somewhere to. Don’t put that bolts back in that until everything else is done.

Yah got everything bolted up. Spacer it's in right away only fits one way because of staggering of bolts. Yah lift truck when jack on LCA and when I let the jack out a couple of inches that's then the UCA hits the spring. I'll get more pics in a couple hours

Basically the strut top spacer lowers the entire body of the front strut, but the coil remains compressed the same as it normally would. This causes both the control arms to be moved down as they are bolted to the shock at the LCA mount.

So since the shock travel remains the same it does so from a lower starting position. It can still move down "x" number of inches, so can the control arms. Now your UCA can move closer to vertical than before, resulting in contact with the coil. Large strut top spacers like the ready lift also result in failed/broken lower shock mounts .

    https://www.shocksurplus.com/pages/lifted-and-leveling-struts-vs-strut-spacers

I think its fine to use small spacers, like a 1/4" or 1/2", but once you get into the 1"+ range you run into these issues.

I'd recommend getting some 5100s if you want that amount of lift for a reasonable price.

I don't think the axle is out. And ball joints all in place. It might be normal for spacers. And we'll maybe it's just me that has a high expectation of the lift.

Might just put the wheels and tires on and slowly lower see it everything goes back into place. Looks like it all installed fine from the pics.

So I'm going to return this lift. What do you guys recommend for a 3/2" lift. I'm from Canada so from a big company is best.

In the photos it didn’t look like you had the swaybar disconnected from the LCA. You also need to loosen the lower control arm eccentrics. (The LCA Cam bolts).

With that budget, ditch the spacer lift and get some 5100's or 6112

None yet, looking to see what’s in store.
I think if you rotate your strut 180* you will find your problem. The spacer has a notch on it, that notch should be facing out on your strut

On this note...for the OP...did you rotate the strut at all when you took it out or when putting it back in? Some leveling kits like Supreme Suspension requires turning it 180 degrees but the ReadyLift does not. I have the Readylift 3/2 in my 2013.

I just noticed the the blue paint marks on the springs are facing out. Isn't that the normal position for them to be?
