Sorry if has been asked before, however I did not have luck finding it if it does. I live in southern Maryland and the service manager at our dealership mentioned getting the rust cleaned off the frame and coated before the rust becomes a problem.

They do not do that at the dealership, anyone do this and have suggestions?

Did you ever find a location for this? I am interested as well for future reference.

We did, though going to have to look through our truck receipts to see where. I'll get back with you

removing the rust and painting under there is a fine idea. Undercoating the truck is not. That is if the undercoat is anything other than paint, that rubberized undercoating will cause more problems than it is worth. Moisture will get trapped under it, in nooks and crannies, rusting from inside out before you notice it.

So, remove the rust, spot prime and use some flat black paint as needed. If you need rust protection after that has been done, look into fluid film or a similar coating. They work great and won't cause the issues a typical undercoating will.
