    I have been reading this forum for several weeks while I was deciding on what truck to buy. Decided on a Tundra so I am join this forum to ask questions. I am buying a Tundra from CarMax and it is being shipped from Colorado. I don't have a delivery date yet. It took me a while to find what I wanted once I decided on a Tundra. I like all the goodies but the sunroof and I wanted the 6'5" bed. I don't like the sunroof because I'm 6'5" and I hit the sunroof when I go off road. Found that out in my 4runner after I bought it. So I found a 2014 DC limited 4x4 TRD off road package with everything but the sunroof.

    I am still filling out my profile. I'm in NorCal the Sacramento area. The truck is getting shipped from Colorado Spring, CO. You can only get the limited w/o sunroof on the 2014 on. Apparently Toyota now has the platinum series that comes with everything.

    Well this is embarrassing, the truck that I was going to get turned out to have the 8ft bed on it. No where in the description did it mention that. I was looking at the specification page that CarMax attaches and noticed that the overall length was 19in longer that other Tundras that I was looking at. I did notice that the bed looked longer but I thought it was the camera shot. So I canceled that sale. No worries I found another. I decided to live with a sunroof since I could find more trucks that had everything else that I wanted and I still have 1/2 an inch between my head and the sunroof. I had zero in the 4runner and I have lived with that. I switched to the CM because there seemed to be more out with what I wanted and I need to put my seat all the way back to in the DC so there would very little room for anyone behind me. I also measured the bed in the CM with the tailgate down and with an 8ft sheet of ply in the back it only sticks out a little over an inch. I still have to wait for delivery though, this one is coming from Texas. Oh it is a 2014 1794 with 86000 miles but I'm buying the extended warranty through CarMax for 4 years or 125k miles. I put less than 8K a year on the 4runner so that works for me.
