Saw a couple old cruisers starting to collect weeds unfortunately. Almost want to offer to purchase one as a project but not sure it would be worth it.

Damn. Snag that troopy! I'd love to have an old troopy. Definite project. Been watching the progress of one on Rising Sun.

restoring any of these old FJs is metric shit ton of work. if you want to drool over some really well done ones, look here.

a 4 door, FJ45 troopy would be awesome to have. it's a classic look on par with a defender 110. would love to have one.

That place purchases old cruisers to restore. Wonder if I could find the owner of the ones in the O.P. and purchase them to resell. I’m gonna be in that area today so I’m gonna knock on a few doors and see whos they are and how much they value them. If nothing else one of them would be a neat project for me and my dad if I can get a good deal.

Any thoughts on what these may be worth in current condition?

Well after looking for like an hour I finally found the cruisers from my original post. Unfortunately I dont think the green one can be saved as it is missing a lot and the rust has taken over pretty bad. The yellow one on the other hand looks like it has at least been driven in the last decade as it has a obama sticker (ew) and a cd deck. Left a note on the windshield to give me a call if he wants to get it out of his yard

not sure of what the pricing might be down near you. up here, it gets a bit ridiculous. really depends on how badly the rust has taken over.

Based on the location I found these things (out in the boonies), and the appearance of the yard/house that it was located in, I’m thinking I could probably talk him into a pretty good deal to get it off his hands. My neighbor owns a body shop and is excellent in metalwork and painting etc. so if there isn’t anything mechanically wrong with it I could have a nice little weekend warrior for a decent price.

I am also going to contact the company that you posted and see if they have any interest in purchasing them to restore (might be able to make a quick flip)

That'd be awesome. Keep us posted. Curious if they'll give it up.
