due to financial reasons and other situations, I just sold my truck, I bought it for 41k, sold it for 38k. Lost only $3,000. Almost two years of ownership.

Bought by a dealership they must be low on inventory or something because everybody was offering to buy from me.

Sorry to see that you had to sell the truck. But good on the resale value!
I wish you the best - sounds like you are going through a rough spot. Hope to see you back soon.

You did very well losing only 3K in 2 years. you typically lose 2 to $3K as soon as you drive off the lot with a new car.

Thanks guys. I had fun contributing and reading up on all the mods that was on the site it helped me a lot.

I was also looking at older tundras from 2007 second gen. I'm not quite sure yet. Well just go with the little car for now.

If not I will definitely be looking into the Toyota sequoias

We still have our Subaru Ascent so it's okay for the time being

Also considering my wife is going to have to quit her job and come and watch our two kids at home while we wait for this covid19 to get over. That's a loss of nearly four grand a month. Lol ouch

We can't put them in daycare too risky.

I wonder what the dealer is going to sell it for?
Like others said, it’s just a truck. Having that payment off the books is probably going to be a big relief.

I have no idea.. but I hope they find a buyer. I'll miss it. I didn't know that much left on the vehicle and the payments were too bad but knowing that we will need the money later would be helpful. Not until this covid-19 passes.

Yes I had good times with it except I didn't get to use it as much as I would have expected. I didn't get to tow a boat or RV or anything like that. with two little babies I couldn't do as much camping and outdoors as I would wanted to with the truck. I'm sure I'll be back in a tundra and when I need a truck. Whether it's the second gen or another third gen or who knows maybe the newer one that will be out the next couple years.

My budget is tight too. I was able to still work but OT was cut and 401K was suspended and I'm paying $500 to $600 a month now for a babysitter for my grandson. Bad timing at my age but it certainly could be much worse. I'm currently cancer free and still breathing so that's always a good thing. Have patience, tighten up the budget...you will get past this!

I love my 15 for sure but I have my 01 loaded up tonight ready to move my niece tomorrow with a 10+ hour drive and that old truck is still just as sweet as the day I bought it to me!

The 1st gen are amazing trucks really and as long as you don't try to find one from anyone here you might be able to pick up something for cash that does the job too?!

My plan when I got the 2015 was to sell the 2001 but that plan has not played out too well through this crazy time we are in and I am not sure I am really too broken up about it either!

Things often happen for reasons that we can not see while in the middle of them.

Sh!+ happens. Life goes on. I am sure you will miss your Tundra but many things are more important. Tundras will be around forever. Perhaps you will have an opportunity in the future to enjoy the mayhem here again. Good luck.

FYI....my babysitter works for Aurora Public School district. Not working. She understands my situation and I understand hers. She only watches my grandson. She has a daughter only two years older so they get along nicely. Maybe you can find a teacher to babysit like me. Homeschooling at the same time and way cheaper than daycare. Food for thought! I buy school supplies and food too for her. I really have no other options. Traditional Daycare would wipe me out financially.... I'm on a single income. Not easy but it is what it is.....

Thanks for the suggestion, however, My kids are 6 months and 2 yo.. my wife says day care is risky and last time my son was there, he was always sick. He was only there for 6 months. Also very expansive, would be half of what my wife makes just to have some sick kids.

For sure! I have a ‘13 328 coupe that I use as my commuter. I’m a huge BMW fan and wouldn’t get rid of it regardless, but man that resale:eek: I bought it as a 3 yo CPO with 18k miles for less than 50% of sticker. And the resale now - 7 yo with only 60k - probably be lucky to get 6,5-7k:eek2: I love them, but you don’t buy them for resale:amen:
