Sold my FJ and miss it already

Well, I sold my Egg, (2008 Trail Teams FJ) I bought it new over 11 years ago and it only had 23,000 miles on it. I wasn’t looking to sell it but a guy wanted to give me a good amount of money to get it out of my garage.i miss it already, lol, guess I should’ve kept it.

 

Wow 2008 w 23000. Glad you got good money. If they still made them I might not have a tundra. I couldn't bring myself to buy a used one and pay what they stickered for

 

I'm missing it too...yeah the new gen FJs command hefty prices. That's good for you. You still have a Tundra and sounds like you weren't using the FJ much. Sounds like a win win situation for you and the buyer!

 

If you’re not using it (23k in 11 years) better to have the cash and invest it in something you will. Which I’m sure you figured out already.

 

do not miss mine at all. very capable on the trail but trying to get more than 2 humans in it was bad and the sight lines out of it were more than awful.

 

I miss mine for various reasons, but I am much more happy with the Tundra. I said that with the 4Runner, too. The FJ is an amazing vehicle, but limited in many ways. If I could, the FJ, 4Runner and Tundra would be my arsenal... one day I’ll have all three together again!

 

Lady friend at work bought one a few years ago. She opened up the door to show it to me and naturally (being a guy) I got down and looked under it. Everything I saw on that heap was over-built! She ended up trading it for a 4Runner. I tried to come up with an excuse why I NEEDED that FJ but couldn't!

 

Definitely want to get me an FJ one day.

 

I’ve got a bad habit of buying vehicles I like and not getting time to enjoy them. Lol

I too miss your FJ. Well. I miss every single FJ that's not parked in my driveway.

 

Got mine in November, it had under 100k on the odometer and I got it for 18k. Drive it on weekends. While it has it's drawbacks, it's fun to drive and nothing else looks as cool. I'll never let it go.

Yessir. When I wrapped the FJ, I made sure I had enough extra vinyl to wrap a disc holder I made I call the 'Smile Factory'.

 

I just bought a 2014 fj.. it will never be sold or traded... It with it's second and last owner.

 

I still have mine. 186,XXX miles though, but drives the same as it did when it was purchased new back in 2007.
