So I found a guy in the San Diego area while I was cruising offer up.

he was selling custom weld on sliders. Starting chatting with him and his prices were very reasonable. He offered all kinds of options as far as top plates, painting and I’m sure others but this is what I wanted done.

I’m from LA so it took a little planning to make it happen, but he made it work. He works out of his home.

I couldn’t be happier with the whole process. From our appointment scheduling, his being a great guy just to chat with and the product is top notch. He does tons of other stuff as well!

    check out his IG

I asked for his permission to post here and he was ok with it. I told him the tundras.com community is full of great guys/gals!

if you are looking for a metal fabricator with very competitive pricing check him out. Tell him you found him in tundras.com!

Thanks! The pics don’t really do them justice either.

As as far as pricing when I say competitive, I had these made, customized and INSTALLED for less than I could even start browsing online vendors.

That’s awesome. Especially the custom top plates and being able to design them how you want. Those custom fab guys do the best work it seems. Great choice.

They are nice sliders for sure. Do you off-road often tho? That .120 isn’t going to hold the weight of the tundra. It’s going to bend on a big hit

I don’t go too often, light stuff. I don’t anticipate a very hard hit that all the weight would need to be supported by the sliders.

he does offer a material upgrade.

this post got me researching. I thought .120 was pretty standard in the industry for sliders and found a few very reputable companies using .120 tubing for their sliders.

    SDHQ
    victory 4x4
    Addictive desert designs
    Demello off-road
    Cali raised
    All pro off-road (Apex)
    Relation race wheels

RCI does not say, they only state 1.75” OD

A lot of these companies have options to upgrade to .188, or they use .188 for the inner tubes and .120 for the outer (Victory 4x4).
I’m sure you know that our trucks are heavy as hell. I do wonder if the .120 size will be able to lift the truck with a jack, but my experience with metal sizing is limited.

If you off-road lightly like you said, you should really be just fine. I off-road a lot, and when I got to a point where I saw others using their sliders, it was some serious stuff. I just recently got sliders, only because I got tired of smashing my regular steps. I went with the .188 just because it was an option and didn’t want to regret going smaller. With the higher clearance of the sliders, I’m unsure if I will even hit them, since I’m not into breaking my suspension while rock climbing.
