The stock shift abomination had to go. One was made from the plainest Juglans Nigra and the other was made from the same species of tree only it was from the root flare of a Black Walnut tree cut down 20 years ago. I dug the stump out of the ground 2 years back and am finding some nice figure. The plain one is almost the same size as the one in my '21. The darker, more figured one is much smaller grip wise and from my property. Wife likes the larger one saying the itty bitty one reminds her of a particular part of the male anatomy. That hurts. 20211115_152151.jpg 20211115_152033.jpg 20211115_152018.jpg 20211115_152043.jpg

I like the darker one. Seems like a more ergonomic option.

I'll agree with the above, I think the darker one looks best.

Consensus has been reached. I like the figuring in the dark one. Plus, it came from my property. The lighter one will face my wrath of rifle stock checkering tools this winter.

I think I’d use the lighter one because it looks like the darker one would show fingerprints a lot more .

If you go that route, you probably should choose ribbed without lubricant.

I'll be that guy. I'm not fond of either. They both look very well done, just not my cup of tea. Would seem out of place in my truck and I even have the wood trim. YMMV

Might change my perception if the photos were in natural light and in the truck.

And do you have Christmas decorations out already.
