We all have to learn the hard way sometimes. $70K is a whole lot of money though. Does it come with a beer making keg, some Dallas Cheerleaders, full body massage, and runs on never requires gas fill ups?:spending::anonymous: It’s peerddy shiny though.

If you're towing a lot and spending 70k on trucks maybe look at a 3/4 ton duramax or....yea the Tundra could work too and I bet your payment would be a helluva lot less.

I don't get how this is acceptable for a vehicle, let alone the rugged beast that the Raptor is supposed to be. I like the Raptor look, like others here. And I'm not going to shit on something I don't know anything about. But hearing things like this, makes the Raptor sound like nothing more than an overpriced toy that you can't even enjoy in the rain.

I’m not defending the ecoboost, as I had two and didn’t like them. If you’re running one without a catch can though, you’re begging for issues.

Why did you trade the 16 in the first place? Seemed like you should’ve just updated/upgraded a few things and kept it and saved yourself like 20k.

The gen 2 Raptor is awesome imo. But the Tundra def gives it a run for its money in my scenario: 85k Raptor vs 55k Tundra

So you have a 30k price gap. The Raptor is like my sports car whereas my Tundra is like my Camry. Raptor does nearly everything better and has literally every feature: 360 degree cameras, heated/cooled seats, remote start, leds everywhere, great suspension, panoramic moonroof, remote tailgate, decent stereo, great handling, fast, very unique. It’s a luxury truck. Fortunately I can own both and have the best of both worlds.

If you love your cooled seats, get the Platinum and Make it your PRO by upgrading what you want with what you want. You will have the money after getting rid of the Raptor....It will be your TRD PLATINUM PRO

To me, the raptor and the tundra are like types of women.. one you would introduce to your friends, and one you’d introduce to your parents

The raptor should have had a boosted 5.0. The 5.0 coyote is nice respectable powerplant. A v6 just doesnt belong in a full size truck in my opinion. They sound terrible and are weak until you spool up the turbo. Same can be said for the GM afm bullsh*t.

Get a 1794 or platinum Tundra and add Fox shocks (or any other Mid Travel setup). You'd probably save some money in the end and get extra features like cooled seats.

It’s not that bad! You can get a pair of Alcan springs, sag problem gone, and far superior leaf pack over OEM.

I thought that they had fixed those issues with the condensation in the intercooler supposedly?! This is insane. This engine has been out for a long time now and still hasn't been ironed out. This is the reason I stayed away from the Transit 3.5L EB in 2014 and F150 EB back early this year. Good thing my search from Tacoma led me to the Tundra.

My cousin bought one last year. 90k with 5 years of maintenance included. Pretty insane, since all he uses it for is to go to work, and all it carries is a single toolbag since he doesn't touch much shit anymore, and the occasional mall. Way to overspend...

I’m really enjoying my Tundra. Aftermarket suspension was a must. So much smoother now. Also never had an issue with my gen2 Raptor in about a year and a half of ownership. Awesome truck. Does everything really well. In a league of its own

Turbo surging isn't a good thing. Unless it was race-built, than it can take it, but nonetheless it's rough on the turbo.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
@OldmanTundra , My Ford dealer is selling the 2018/19 Raptors for 92Gs. Sounds like you got a deal at 72. I counted 10 of them on the lot, every color too.
I miss my Tundra, cant wait till I get it back from the Dealer, get rid of the Taco they gave me to drive...

Good luck with getting the Pro if that's the way you go !
