    Hello Everyone-
So I have $4k to drop into my Platinum :bananadance:and wanted to get everyones feedback on the best MODS for the money. My latest MOD is my Black Rhino Warlord Wheels which get installed Friday of this week. Other things on my mind were OEM Fender Flares and 2018 Headlights. So, I will end it there. What MODS do you think I should invest in?

A locker or lsd would be nice since stock all we have is traction control.

Re-gear, buy an ARB air locker and make your Tundra a true 3/4 4X4. Lockers front and rear makes it a true 4X4. That's my dream.

1.) Suspension (King front, UCA, 5160's out back) $2,500
    2.) Nice set of 17" Methods on 35's $2,100
    3). A couple BaMuffler's ($315-ish)

Modding is pricey if you buy all your parts new. Buying used is a different story.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
Since you said that you do not off-road currently but would like to start. That tells me that you need something that will allow you to off-road with confidence. It also tells me that the Tundra will likely spend most of its time on the pavement...like most do. So I would address these first (this is just me...):

Ride quality - Install some suspension components which will both lift the truck (Off-road performance) as well as offer, a smoother, softer ride (on road-performance). I would spend most of my money here ($2000ish)

Wheel and Tires - I would keep the stock wheels most likely so i could use the additional savings elsewhere. I would put on the largest tire that would fit onto the stock wheel. If you want decent off-road performance as well as on-road performance, I would stick with an all-terrain instead of mud-terrain (BFGoodrich makes Ko or Ko2, Nitto Terra Grappler, etc...) ($1000ish)

Vehicle protection - When off-roading you do not want to damage your truck. Good quality sliders will do. ($250)

Safety - Headlight replacement - From what I have heard 3rd generation headlights are not the greatest. There are many great solutions which are infinitely better than stock. ($450ish).

Proper Recovery gear - Snatch strap, 3 ton come-along, Shovel, Sledgehammer, several 5 foot heavy duty fence posts (I have used poles, sledgehammer and a come-along numerous times to get me out of 'sticky' situations...to cheap to buy a winch) and a buddy to help (the most important part). ($300)

The above is what I would do if I were in your situation. Like I mentioned above many people believe they will do much more 'off-roading' than they actually do (myself included) and end up spending too much money on mods that present no value (other than appearance) for what the truck is primarily used for.
