I recently traded in my 16 2500hd that i had an 8’ fisher hd2 on. I kept the plow blade. I bought a 19 limited dc that I want to put the plow on. What are you guys using beside timbrens in the front end? I only plow my driveway and my parents, no commercial use. Thanks

I've run a 7.5' Fisher SD on two Tundras. I'm sure your plow weighs a bit more than mine but both of my trucks handled it fine completely stock. I am running Bilstein 6112s now and the weight of the plow is even less noticeable. I think the upgraded bump stops can't hurt but your money is probably better spent on shocks and springs IMHO

Agreed. Did you just add shocks?

The Bilstein 6112 is actually shock and spring combo. They have adjustable spring perches so you can add some lift as well. I run mine at the max height. I also did the Bilstein 5160 struts in the rear and Toytec shackles to lift the rear (I wanted to keep the factory rake), but you could do just the front. There are some other options out there as well with different spring rates that may be even better suited to the weight of the plow, so you might want to check around a little

I’ll probably end up doing the same in combination with the timbrens. I looked into OME springs and struts as well but I’ve read the heavy springs ride horribly unloaded. How does yours ride with no plow?

It's stiffer, but subjectively "better" overall than stock, I think. I will probably do the same setup again on my next truck.

There are three different OME coil springs to choose from depending on use.

I’m well aware of that. I think Bilstein is a bit cheaper

I put my truck up for sale so I took some pics today, figured I might as well post them here

Here's how little it sags with the weight of the plow on stock suspension

This is with no ballast either, and I think Fisher calls for around 150lbs

Excellent, thank you. I actually ordered 6112’s for mine. I found out fisher has no wiring figured out for the led lights yet too so that kind of sucks

After these past two storms I'm thinking about a small plow, I like the idea of those ones that appear to be made out of a clear plastic and reenforced by metal behind, typically seen on mid size trucks or jeeps, I just want it to do a few driveways. Any recommendations and what I'd be looking at cost wise?
