Bought these smittybitlts and now I'm snowed in up in the Sierra. No big deal, ain't going anywhere anytime soon. So me and the boy played with these to see how they worked. Better to use em in an admin situation for the first time rather than really needing them on that maiden voyage. One of em broke right away. Anyone else had issues with these? Is it worth the extra money for Maxtrax?

Yeah, I read that about the Smitty's. They got pretty bad reviews. If you plan to use 'em more than once it might not be a bad idea to drop some coin on the real deal.:notsure:

Good advice here from Sean. Smitty, from what I've read, is really good about warranties. Doubt you'll get a refund but they'll probably send you another set free.

They have a 1 year warranty I believe. Was just looking at these to use with the bed molle thing.

Just broke my second set of the smittybilt's. Stay away, stay far away from their tracks.

I know this is older, but I am new to the forum, having been a landcruiser guy until recently. I recommend http://www.cruxoffroad.com/ bridging ladders. They work great and are no plastic toys.
