I have a 2007 5.7, I have been noticing that my truck’s temperature needle raises at about 3/4 for a few minutes and then goes back to half for a moment again. This pattern repeats while driving. Also my oil pressure gauge does the same thing. Both pressure sensors have been replaced, good fresh oil. Anyone got any tips? Thank you.

Check the sensor connection first. Did this problem exist before the sensor's were changed out? Thermostat changed?

    Thermostat might be failing.

This problem did exist before I changed the sensors out, I’ll check out the thermostat next, thanks!

Whens the last time you changed out your radiator fluid?
Since, it seems like you are indicating temp fluxuates up and down, I would suspect thermostat, or maybe possibly your fan clutch
If you are planning on replacing your thermostat, you might as well do a coolant drain/ refill.
Over time radiator coolant does become less effective.
I noticed a 4 degree operating temp drop when i changed my Tacoma coolant. (scanguage OBD verified)

If your oil pressure does the same thing, I suspect your dash, not the vehicle. Get a cheap OBD dongle and check the temp from there. The dashboard temp display is programmed to lie to you, BTW.

Slight over heating could be a number of things, clogged radiator internals or outside fins, thermostat failing to open all the way, fan clutch is bad. Starting by inspecting the rad for debris blocking it, follow by testing the fan clutch, spin it by hand if you get more than 1 revolution then the clutch is bad, thermostat is a little harder to get to but change that out with an OEM one and flush system with distilled water and add Toyota coolant.

What does your fuel gauge and transmission temperature do?

They’re both good. Transmission temp stays at 1/2, and fuel gauge is working normally.
