Dave I like that look, what's the extra little flare piece you have on the fender? I really don't want full flares just something to dress it up a little. Question when I did my one back on my avalanche I had to cut the factory studs down did you have to on the spyders? And what size did you go with? Thx

Tracker I know what you mean. My wife really doesn't care what I do to my truck but I myself have a hard time justifying it due to the fact I never drive it. I had 14700 on my 14cm after 3 years and have had my 16 now for almost 3 months and only have 390 miles on it. I've always accessorized my vehicles till I got the 14 then I left it mostly stock with the exception of the necessities like weather techs, vent visors and folding cover. But with this on I have the itch to make it little different from my last being I bought the same exact truck with the only difference being the sensor package. Same model same color same trd package.

you are crazier than I am lol. I have the itch to mod everything I own. I drive this truck alot more than my GMC. Of course I had a company car before and now I dont so I drive my own cars. My GMC Sierra was a 2008 with 40k miles which included 3 long road trips.

Theres always been something about the front end of these trucks that I just didnt like. After taking awhile to pin it down I think it is the stock headlights. The TRD Pro lights make a world of difference on the front ends. I think that and exhaust are going to be my next buys.

Yeah the 14 had a couple long trips on it also. I too have a company vehicle and when I'm not in that I'm in rentals so the toyo barely moves during the week. My 02 avalanche prior to the 14cm for the first 6years I drove it daily to work and racked up 160+k then I switched positions and got the beloved company vehicle and when I got the 14 in oct of 13 I had 176k on it for a I was only avg 3k a year after the company vehicle.thats the main reason I looked at the toyo's to get the better resale value now after have them for awhile I will be a lifer I love everything about the truck.

I got the trd dauls on this one and absolutely love it. I really don't care about the performance debate of what it does or doesn't do I love the sound really makes the 5.7 sing when you want but is very mild when cruising down the road.

Thanks bud. Yeah I did a 2" spacer and kept the factory wheels. The tires are 285/65/18 bf Goodrich ko2. Just a little bigger than the factory 275/65/18's

Mike, the little exta piece you see is came on my Tundra as a dealer installed option, also known as the door sill protector. Just a small stuck on color matched bumper over my fenders to protect me from those idiots who let there doors just swing wide open. As for my Spidertrax spacers, they are the 1.25" ones and no need to cut down any of the studs.

I told my wife when we bought our Tundra that I wasn't going to do much to her. Just simple stuff like a a spray in liner, bed cover, bed step and N-Fab's. Then I found the Tundra forums on the web and it started the mod bug. It's got to stop soon ... a lift, wheels and tires and I should just about be done.

2" spacers with the +60 offset of the factory wheels make sense since you've got fender flares.

    Looks great John!!

Thanks again. There was not really any noticable change in the ride or handling. But I will say the bfg's are great at picking up and throwing rocks.

Man that's a sweet setup. That's pretty much exactly what I want.
Torn between 275/70r18 duratracks or Ko2's. But I think I'm gonna do bilsteins up front at their intermediate setting because I still want a raked look instead of a 3/1.

I'm pretty much stock right now except a tonneau cover, 18" magnaflow, and husky weatherbeaters. Got a "Model T" grill emblem from Diaz fabrication ( @Andres ) inbound - can't wait to install it.
    Here she is though:

    Thx joonbug
Now that I see one with bigger tires and such not sure I'm sold either. I am keeping all the chrome even trying to swap my color keyed rears back to chrome like my 14. But these might be to much in thinking the black will be better. I don't want any but the wife and kid is getting tired of climbing in so I figured I would put some on the 16 since I'm going to lift it up a little.

Yeah, I hate my nerf bars. Had to get them for the wife and kids too. Just ordered the cheapest ones I could find on day 1. Now I'm waiting for the right sliders to come along. I really like the SDHQ sliders, just wish they were just a little bit cheaper.

Yeah same boat here. I just rented a expedition platinum when I was out of town it had similar to the amp power steps, nice but way to much money and in snow belt where I am they get bad reviews.
Probably just settle for the cheapest black hoops I can get from eBay.

By the way I like the black wheels with the chrome that's nice. Are they the pro wheels or did you coat the trd's?

Yes, my wheels are plastidipped. And yeah, the amp research steps are awesome. I just don't want to add another electrical part on the truck that's eventually going to fail. Plus, I want the protection of sliders, I've already hit the bottom of my bars a few times on rocks.

Yeah I don't think the amp offer much in the way of protection for 1100, plus I cracked my shins on them several times reaching back to the vehicle. I don't have to worry to much about rocks I'm lucky mine gets out of the driveway. Travel for work + company vehicle when local = a 200 mile a month avg. 3 months ago when I bought it they filled it up I'm still on the same tank and only on 1/2 thanks to the new 38g tank.

Hey, me too. I only have 4k miles in one year. But almost all of them are to go dirt biking or camping. Some of the desert spots are a bit rugged though.

Pssshhhh.. I wish I could keep my miles that low. I've had it almost 2 months and just rolled over 3K miles. I live 35 miles from work though and also have my own photography business and driving a lot.

On my vehicles I tend to put on no more than 10k-12k miles per year. For some reason I'm just over 8K on my soon to be 5 month old Tundra. One round trip to Ensenada and another to L.A. accounted for a third of that.
