AS a new owner of a 18 Cm sr5, what are the best noticeable mods that are simple? im not talking about lifts, wheels or body mods, something simple, like lights, visors, running boards, decals, interior accessories ect... All most be plug and play!!!! GO!!!!

Footwell lighting is easy and gets a lot of attention when you’re showing them off

Probably the biggest visual impact would be to get rid of the chrome grille surround and hood bulge and switch them out for the painted version. It will cost you about as much as a set of running boards.

cheap mods i did roughly $500 or less for each item :

    1. interior led light swap from vleds (roughly $100, dome light, map lights, driver floor light - I had redo the whole set since the 5k lights are not like the old 5k lights, so I swap them to 6k light. the 5k had some yellow to them)
    2. short antenna swap (I did 3" black metal replacement about $25 from Amazon, this affect radio reception but we don't use radio - Pandora/xm)
    3. window tint (20 rear/30 front, about $170)
    4. bed liner (line-x basic was $498 out the door)
    5. bed cover (dealer installed was $460 - access rollup cover classic)
    6. husky x-act contour floor liners front and back (back was full cover under the seats, cost about $300 shipped)
    7. center console leather cover (about $25, we have dogs that like to put the front paws on the console, save it from scratches - this was on ebay/amazon, but you have to send them the sizing for the center console overlay)
    8. front dash tundra color insert (about $10, this is the tundra lettering just below the radio)
    9. remote start from drone mobile (about $450 installed, but I got a discount for doing computer work for the person and they did the window tint at the same time)
    10. bought center console tray from amazon (about $25 shipped, this was a 1/2 tray that fits a ford but it fits a tundra just fine. most trays I found didn't let you easily access underneath without moving or removing the tray)

    future mods :

    1. swing case tool box, about $200 each (still having an issue with making this purchase as you have to drill into the bed, not sure I want to after line-x and long term rust possibility of screws)

I am not to keen on the esp rear seat storage solution as there is not enough depth to the 3 pod plastic ($200) or full lenth metal ($700)

    2. rims, either 20's or swap out for 18's (for better sidewall)
    3. duratracs for #2
    4. fender flares (either oem style or bushwhacker)
    5. maybe front/rear bumper replacements (not too sure on this with the new safety sense systems)

mods that wont happen again :

    1. not doing a lift again (just too much hassle, and the wife didn't care for it so much on the Tacoma)

I think they hard to come by because you can't buy them. Don't you get one once the moderators feel you worthy of the decal?

I have the TRD shift knob in mine, the next thing I will do to the shifter is shorten it as much as I can. Should be pretty easy, measure, cut it and rethread the metal rod with a die.
