I cant find the only photo I took of my truck this past Spring. I have a black 2006 4x4 crew cab limited. I looked for a 1st generation with low miles for a long time and bough ti this past spring with 104,000 on it.

Tundras don’t have struts. Are you looking to replace the suspension all together or? @ToyTec Lifts

One of my aftermarket front shocks appears to be leaking. Midas says I need to replace them. Because they and the matching springs are matched, I need to replace all.

Yes, after getting the 2 repair option costs, I thought I would save money, do it myself and put better stuff on.

Dave as said above, check out Toytec. You don't have to swing for the fence, but they can get you straight with what you wanna do. Take a pic of that Tundra quick before the pic police find this post. Hahaha

Welcome David. It's not too hard to replace the front coil overs but it does take some time if you haven't done it before. I'm curious what shocks you have right now. It'd be a shame to throw away a high end, rebuildable shock.

Thank you all for the feedback! My apologies, I am likely not as dialed in to the inner and under workings of my truck as you all may be with yours but am willing to check out options like this forum to help guide me a bit.
I will get another estimate and see what they say.

I will let you know what happens and do plan on doing the repair myself.
Some of you have asked for photos. I can take one of my truck today and try to get it on here or are you asking for photos of the bad shocks and springs I got?

We don't mind pics of shocks and springs (and sometimes someone can look at what you post and offer more specific advice), but we LOVE to look at pictures of Tundras!
