Putting Dakars on the rear with add leaf. If I don’t use the OME nitro chargers. Is the 5160 long enough? Online they say 0-1.5 in? What shock could I put in rear that aren’t resi?

    thanks Zach

FWIW, I'm running dakars with aal and nitro shocks. Per ARB spec the nitros are only compatible with 2.5" of lift, but I have 4" of lift (dakars + lift shackles) and the ride still seems good. The Toytec aluma boss seems like good non-resi shocks. They're IFP and rebuildable. You could also look into Fox 2.0/2.5s IFP shocks. Looks like both the Fox 2.0 rears and Toytec aluma boss are good for up to 3" lift.

OME nitrochargers are designed for the lift of their leaf springs, 2.5 inches lift. 5160s could be fine for you depending on use. If you are into heavy off road the articulation may have the shocks beyond limit, but for moderate off road and street use you will be ok.

I have the OME Dakars with CB +1 shackles and I have been using the 5160s with zero issues.
