Well. The introduction to the build.

Picked this truck up used at my local Toyota dealership.

Used 2018 Tundra SR5 4x4 CrewCab in the best color option.....cement.
    17,890 miles.

I will document the build, tell you what was good, what went wrong, and hopefully answer any questions on products you are considering installing.

First upgrade was an obvious one. The stock antenna is way too big and ugly. It simply had to go. Picked this one up on Amazon from Ronin. I wanted the stubby one, but it was out of stock and I was too impatient to wait. So I bought their .50cal bullet antenna. Little bit of locktite and installed in under 20seconds. Much better low profile look than stock.

Ajt Designs chrome delete kit and shifter knob replaced. Love the products. Install for all the pieces took little over an hour. The 4x4 shift knob was the most difficult.

Diode dynamics makes a great behind grille mount kit for their dual 12’’ light bars. The problem is for owners of the sports grille. The lights do not mount in the gap space and are blocked almost completely. The resolution, go to Home Depot and grab some “extenders” and hardware and lift it up yourself 2 inches. Now it fits perfectly and shines bright.

DD needs to sell this as an add on option. Easy for the customer to do.

Nfab MRDS front bumper installed. The skid plate is currently being powder coated and not installed at the moment.

The light bar is on its way and will fit the gap in the center. Then I will drill and install parking sensors in the corners and should be all set.

Installed some Diode Dynamics Pro Pods in the new bumper. Converted factory fog lamp harness to DT connector so they run off the factory switches on the Tundra.

Just need to replace the Cali with another set of DD and get the light bar installed and I’m done with that project.

Switched out the CaliRaised pods with the Diode Dynamics set to match what I have in the grille and bumper. Still waiting for the 42 inch light bar and should be done on the front end.

Installed Cover Kings seat covers in the front. Very easy install as they include an install tool to assist with the pulling and tucking. Got the work done on both front seats in under 30 min. Will order the backs when I fully recover from Christmas spending.

Mounted my Christmas gift from the family today. Hope to never use it but got it ready if I do.

The mount came from Amazon. It’s called the “bracketeer”. Has different mounting brackets To accommodate different seat brackets. Fit easily on the Tundra under the driver seat. Not in the way of my feet or getting in and out. Installation took 10 min.

    The work is done.
    5.5 hours sanding (by myself)
    .5 primer, adhesion, degreasing
1 hour masking and covering truck
    .5 spraying liner
    Total material cost 160$
    Line-X quoted me 750$

I would recommend the product. Just make sure you prep your bed. Only time consuming part. Using a grinding wheel, and wire brush and go to town on it. The rougher the better.

So do I. I have enjoyed the products from Diode Dynamics and this dual short bar concept they have.

One of the most stressful mod I have done so far on shm0_Tundra.

AJT Designs makes an amazing upgraded key fob that replaces factory. The material and look is a big improvement. The stressful part was trying to get the transponder out of the old fob and back into the new one. I had to practically cut and shave while using heat to try and slide the transponder out. I got it done but not without a few cuts and burns on the fingertips. Good news....it worked and I don’t have to do it again. Lol

I've used both Baja Designs and Rigid, have not tried Diode Dynamics. The split bar really does look great with that grill and your bed liner job looks like it came from a professional shop!

Fit the 42inch Light Bar. Had to ditch the provided mounting hardware and make a trip to Home Depot. Grabbed some angle brackets and hardware and built my own install brackets. The bar sits little further in than I wanted, but I’m not going to get picky. Front end done

Waiting on Method to send me my rims (7 weeks back order already) then on to the suspension.

All my lights are ran through the Trigger Switch 6. This product is amazing and was easy to install in under 30 min. I attached it with Velcro to the top of my fuse box.

I have 6 connectors that provide plug and play connectivity for all my lighting. Comes with Bluetooth connectivity, a remote, and an easy app for your phone.

I really like those Trigger systems, if I didn't already have a switch pro from my previous build I would have went with that. The wireless remote and bluetooth is really nice

Did the paint job. 3 coats of Super Red II and 2 coats of 2k clear. Took less than an hour counting dry tile between coats. It is a dead on match to the sway bars under the truck. Looks great and catches the eyes when you see the front end.

Big interior upgrade today. Will be getting into the dash and radio to install the Rago dash plate. Before that, I drilled and installed an ICS USB charging port that will be tapped into the existing 12vt lighter. I will use the ICS mounting plate to prevent flexing in the dash.

While the radio is out, it’s time to install the anytime camera and switch. Along with the install is the yotaled camera mount that is designed to fit the SR5 sport grill. Gives the camera a clean look in the grill and allows you to mount it at any open slot position on the grille. Will post updated pics after the install.

I relate to this so much. Of all the mods I have done - THIS and the 4x4 Knob from the AJT Chrome Delete. Yikes.

Curious which Methods you ordered. There is a guy in Florida that ships for free continental US and has a good stock of Methods in his warehouse. Got me my NV305s to Hawaii in less than a week.

So this was a big headache of an install. The wiring harness shipped did nothing match any video installs, didn’t match the website, and didn’t match the install instructions. Good grief.

The camera arrived broken due to poor shipping methods and had to be reshipped. After several hours of getting the wiring done and camera finished, the srs airbag warning light came on. Took me another half-hour to realize maybe I should disconnect the battery and reset the system. That worked....

overall the product is a novelty. Not really applicable for a legitimate reason other than to show people you have a forward facing camera.

additional tools and materials : $30
    Camera: 130$

    install time 4.5 hours

Installed the infamous “bent corner” safe from Amazon. Great product and love the upgrade to the big void of a center console.

Installed a grab handle for the drivers side. Foolish for Toyota to take these out after 2014 but whatever. Got it just in time before the 3inch lift went on.

Local Cali people might want to check out Califabrication in Carmichael. They did an amazing job and very knowledgeable.

Nice! This is the first I have heard of Trigger Shooter 6! Looks like they target Jeep users mainly but definitely works in your Tundra!
Might have to invest in one myself....
    Thanks!
