    2018 Tundra SR5 TRD O/R
So I bought my first Tundra a couple weeks ago. It's a 2018 SR5 with the TRD O/R package. Debadged as soon as I got home. Still trying to decide if I'm gonna take off the "Tundra" badges too, or just plastidip them. I'll probably plastidip them, but I'm not in a hurry. Anyway, her she is:

    IMAG0451.jpg

I got a smoking deal to get my wheels powder coated from a guy that I had a previous business deal with. He owns Excalibur Mfg in the Springs. He gave me a tour of his shop. Very impressive. I dropped the wheels off this morning, so for now I'm rollin' on steelies until I get my wheels back o_O:

    IMAG0491.jpg

Also just picked up my Toytec/Eibach 3/1 lift. I got the Toytec/Eibach 3" lift coilovers for upfront, Toytec boss shocks for the rear, and the Deaver AAL instead of a block. I drove up there and picked them up today.

    IMAG0492.jpg

    IMAG0493.jpg

Getting this kit is like Christmas in Julaugtember!!! What's Julaugtember you ask? Also known as The Long Summer, or that seemingly endless mushed-together summer month between when the Stanley Cup Playoffs end and the next season begins. It's killing me, but this will help tide me over.

I ordered some Cooper STT Pros yesterday in 295/70R18. They should be ready this weekend, but I don't think I'll get my wheels back until next week. So now I'm debating on if I should go ahead and put my new suspension on now, or wait until my wheels are done. I know the truck will look silly, and I don't want to drive around without getting an alignment for that long. But having the kit just sitting there, begging to be installed is tempting. I think I'll probably wait.

    More to come soon...

Do you think you'll need to do a CMC with that tire/lift setup?

It partly depends on his alignment. Though on stock arms, I’d be surprised if they got enough caster to make it a necessity.

You doing spacers with the stock wheels @Sharpienads?

Other people have the same setup without needing to do any major modifications if any at all. I wasn't going to run spacers unless I needed to, but I think I'll be ok.

You’re gonna be very very close to the UCA’s without them. I’ll be interested to see if ya clear em, with how much bigger Cooper’s are.

Yeah, I'll be interested to see too. We'll just have to see when everything is installed.

Tow mirrors are in, getting them installed next week. Normally I'd just do it myself, but it was part of the truck purchase deal to have them installed. Hopefully I don't regret that...

    Tow mirrors installed:

And I just got the call that my wheels are done at the powder coating shop. I'll pick them up tomorrow and toss these on:

    IMAG0017~2.jpg

My wheels will be full TRD Faux. My local dealership quoted me more per cap than all 4 caps + shipping from Roman.

Got my wheels back and have the 3/1 installed. I'll get my wheels and tires on next week.

I also got some spidertrax 1.25" spacers in case I need them or if I just want to put them on so the wheels stick out a little. We'll see next week when I get my wheels/tires put on.

I like the way the wheels look powder-coated.
I was also considering the Eibach 3/1 with the stock wheels and 295/70r18 tires. But, I couldn’t figure out if it would work with that setup or not (so many posts to read). So I’m definitely following along to see how it goes for you. :)

Thanks! I think they look really good, and I think they're the same as the TRD Pro wheels when they're all black. I just told the guy to match the glossy-ness of the black that was already there.

I've seen some posts where guys are running the same setup as I'm going for and it works for them, but like you said, so many posts I couldn't tell you where I saw it. That and different tires of the same size are different sizes, so who knows. I just hope it works out.

So I got everything installed a couple days ago. The tires are really close to the UCAs, but don't rub. I'll have to mod my skid plate, because that was rubbing. Right now I just bent it a little to keep it from rubbing, but I'll probably end up cutting it. I had previously taken the fron-front mud flap thingy off, so I don't know if that would have rubbed or not. But other than the skid plate, no rubbing at all. Here she is:

    IMAG0040.jpg
    IMAG0041.jpg
    IMAG0042.jpg
    IMAG0043.jpg

I think I need to get it alligned again, because I get a little back and forth wobble in my steering wheel and it pulls to the right a little. But overall I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

I did not. I think it looks good as is, the tires arent too sucked in, and I didn't want to use them if I didn't need to.

Your new set up looks like it has the wheels sticking out farther. Do the alloy wheels have a higher offset than the steel wheels you had?

I'm not sure about the specs of the steelies, so couldn't tell you. The TRDs are +60 I think.

Trim down some of the skid and you’ll be good to go.

    Thanks!

Yep, just gotta decide where to cut it.... Or replace it all together. It doesn't really inspire confidence.

Trim the sides down. If you can get it, get the @RCIoffroad skid plate.
