So my @Genuine Cooling Systems was installed by a shop but it looks like the lower adapter on the cooler is weeping. No drips or fluid on the ground so I wonder if the o-ring was pinched when I put the cooler and bracket together before taking it to the shop.

Those are compression o-rings on those fittings and they can get pinched or torn if they’re too tight, or just by chance.

If it were me I’d pin the thermostat and crack the top fitting first to drain any fluid held in the cooler back into the transmission then replace the o-ring on both the top and bottom fittings. Should be an easy fix without losing any fluid.

Edit: Nevermind, you’ll inevitably lose a little fluid undoing the lower fitting if you have that lower hose routed UP off the lower fitting and through the radiator shroud. It will be less than half a quart though.

If the truck is off would the fluid still be in the cooler up front or would most of it make its way back down to the transmission? Yea i expect to lose some fluid regardless but it is going to a transmission shop tomorrow with a good reputation and reviews so hopefully they can get it figured out before i attempt this myself. lol

The cooler will always retain some fluid due to the hose routing off the lowest fitting. The hose routes up from the bottom fitting creating a belly that won't let all the fluid gravity drain back to the transmission.

UPDATE: Shop installed new M22 Adapter and the old adapter they took out had stripped threads. But unfortunately it’s still weeping so maybe a new cooler is the answer.
