Stock headlights have been bugging me and I keep trying to find a good replacement but Keep going back to the sequoia lights.

Been looking at some used ones and see a lot listed with either broken or repaired tabs. Is that a big deal for the install? And do they seem to break easily?

also- I see base and platinum models listed. Which ones are the better looking ones to go with? I have a platinum tundra but swapped out the grill to a rock warrior

I held out for lights with all tabs intact.

The difference in trim is a black panel on the side & small thin piece around the side & under the lights & silver in those areas. I ended up with one of each and never see it. I Had forgotten about it until this post.

Thanks! Yeah. I can’t really make out the difference. Trying to convince myself to spend that much money on headlights

They are very nice but $$$. The new Morimoto XB headlights are a great choice as well for almost half the cost.

Also there are Alpharex lights which are nice. They are about $350 a set. I have those in my wife’s Sequoia

Aren't the Morimotos 900? I paid 1200 and change for mine (including the harness), they need no set up, no adjustment and are OEM (the harness is p&p and looks OEM).

I had 400.00 aftermarkets I had to deal with adjusting, the neon tube was dim and they were just not right.

If you take your time you can find the headlights on eBay for under 600 each.

best if you can find used but still adding harness plus body panels and painted to match truck color add up.
morimotos can be found for 760 ish when shops have sales.

Got these off of eBay from user headlampsamerica for $440 per light. They are refurbished but in like new condition. U/filthytundra and I both got them and had a very good experience. Comparatively any aftermarket light really doesn’t compare to fit/finish and drastically changing/updating the second gen IMO

I saw those but wasn’t sure if it was a complete light. Is it plug and play?

You need the harness from xrunnerdude67 from on here and also the sequoia filler plates for under the lights. Then it’s plug and play. 30 minute install. Works and looks like it came from the factory.

got it installed. Pretty happy with the upgrade. As most already know, the harness from xrunnerdude is first class. Very nice work.

Got my driver side "refurbished " headlight from headlights america off Ebay (Got back $50 bc one of tabs broke in shipping), and got lucky on a low priced passenger side from a private seller that looks really good.

looks like this upgrade is getting a little more "affordable" -Still a lot of money

I am at $765 for both headlights, $110 for harness, $99.27 for fender extensions, and $8 in color match paint

I wish someone would make a regular light shaped like the new seqouias so you had the option to retro fit. I would be on board with that.

the new Morimotos XB when on sale ($720 ish shipped) are a great alternative to the Sequoias imo. I went with them instead of sequoias.
    Plus 5 year warranty.

This is a great mod! My filler panels are ready so plan to do the install this weekend. I also bought refurbished off ebay and they look great.

I bought a platinum by mistake so have one for sale, wanted the non chrome but as stated here it's a very small difference and they both look great.

    Will post photos when done!

I am another vote for OEM sequoia LED.

I accidentally “back doored” my way into a good price from a light vendor. I applied a coupon code that was not supposed to work but it did. They quickly called me and offered me a discount but not as much as the original coupon was for but a deal non the less.

I painted my own fillers and grill and got the harness from xrunnerdude67 and I was good to go.

morimotos are nice and hopefully they worked out the kinks that one user was having in here when he got them very early, maybe he was doing R&D for them but he got a bad leak in one during his first rain storm

I am working through mine right now. Truck is getting the front end fixed, and doing the 18+ conversion in the process. Just need my Xrunnerdude67 harness, and I should be in good shape! Hoping to have it all done by next week.
