    That means all communication between this server and your computer is encrypted. TLS 1.2 AES 128-bit elliptical curve encryption if you're a nerd and wondering.

    Practically, that means that your password and session are no longer vulnerable to being hijacked. If the communication wasn't encrypted, that lock would turn into a broken lock icon.

    I know you are...I've read your posts on TW lol

    Some folks login from unsecured wifi (like a starbucks, etc) and you can definitely spy on over the air wifi like that. Snag passwords and session cookies, if they're not encrypted
