Bought new in 2007, always had service done by toyota.
On 04/2012, 61,800 miles later, needed S.A.I.S replaced, covered by toyota.
On 02/2018, at 124,015 miles, per toyota, need to replace the S.A.I.S.
    Per toyota-
extended warranty, 150,00 or 10 years. (missed by 6 months).
Part replacement in 2012, 1 year warranty.
No NEGOTIATING after the stated warranty periods.
    My calculations are-
Every 62,000 miles i need to plan on a $2,000 expense. (averaged out).
We live in Michigan if you think that matters.
(I live 15 miles from the GM truck plant).
I think there are a lot of us with this situation, if not let us know.
This is more than a flaw, it's an extra expense, that seems to be regular.
Future buyers should be made aware of the issue, if it is the case.
    I'm pissed
    p.s.
The wife has a 2008 rav4, bought new, regular oil changes by toyota.
    per toyota-
OK to use 1 quart of oil, per 1,300 miles, in this vehicle, not excessive.
(blood pressure going up, gotta stop for now)
