Just installed my new SDHQ Sliders! Man the driver side was quite a chore. I love the look! I have to say these are a quality product. Was a little disappointed in the cost of shipping. I still need to follow up with them on that. They originally said it would cost about $200-$250 for shipping to California. Then they charged me $401. I called them and they said it was because I was sending it to a residential address. So I changed it to my work which they have a fork lift and a warehouse to receive it. They said that was going to save me about $50. Never did see the credit yet on my card. Plus, I ordered them on a Monday and they had them already powder coated and ready to go. They never shipped them till Friday. With that said, I am still happy with my sliders. Just feel like the customer service is lacking.

This is pretty much the common theme. Glad you love them. I love mine too.

Dang those look really good. Did you have to fish a bolt between the gas tank to bolt these on? It’s so tight on there and no room. I was building something similar to this but never got to finish.

The hardware kit comes with a couple of special nuts attached to brackets for the holes near the gas tank. Still had to lower the gas tank to accomplish it. Those two bolts were a pain in the ass to get started. The sliders do look really nice though. Very happy with them. And by the way, they did refund me the difference in shipping cost just took a little while for the credit to post.

Oh ok that is cool that it has special nuts but still it’s so dang bloody tight up there. The one right in front of the tank was the last play I had to install and it was going to take some head scratching to figure out with out having to drop the tank. Good to know you still ended up doing so, just make sure you don’t have a full tank hahah

Sick!! They look great. I hate my predator steps and am about to pull the trigger on the sdhq.. how do you like it without the dimple plates? How did the powder coat finish look after they shipped?

Looks great! One question, are they slippery to step on?

    All stock-ish. Powdercoated blue suspension.
When I order things through the website there are some informations that gets over looked by the staffs that handles the online order and I would always bring it up to Joey on here ( @sdhq_offroad ) and he always gets things squared up right away for us on the forum members. I think my last online order I noticed there was CA tax with LA County tax calculated with the order plus shipping cost and that kind of blew my mind out the waters wondering when did out of state purchases started adding CA taxes. Brought it up to Joey's attention and there was some glitch going on with their website ordering system and he fixed it ASAP! So I'm always messaging Joey here to make purchases and having him send me an invoice so I can send payment in that route instead of doing the website order. This way I know it's being handled correctly and the forum member discount is applied.

It just depends on the powdercoating. I had mines shipped raw and took it to a local shop to get them powdercoated with a textured finishing no slippage at all.

Order them raw, even after I specifically asked them to wrap the ends more than usual.. I was told "no problem"
of course they arrived with the one wrap of super thin foam which was torn off and both ends had the powder coating rubbed off. Really pissed me off, all they had to do was put a thick piece of foam on the end bars and they would have arrived perfect. SDHQ makes some amazing products but I will say their customer service is not the best, they more or less told me "oh well" thats how it goes.. even though they said they would package them better than usual.

yeah shipping on sliders always cost $$$..they are bulky...better to buy local or at off road shows when vendors are here.

Yeah, the shipping is a killer. I was going to plan a road trip to pick up some sdhq's but ended up going local with slee steps. They're sweet and work great w kiddos, but the sdhq's are the best looking slider for the tundra imho.

P&P engineering is charging $150 for shipping from Indiana to CA. Residential Drop.

No matter who you order them from, sliders are big and bulky and tend to get beat up in the shipping process.

Any forum discounts? Getting my lemon replacement this week. Don’t want those predators on the new one. Need them ASAP.
