So I take my truck off road and I'm looking for something to minimize the pin striping. I got a quote to xpel the sides of the truck down to the lower rockers, but it's almost 3 grand (I would rather put that towards long travel). I've heard of some stupid hard coatings able to absorb scratches. Any opinions on the matter? I WANT a super polished truck, but if I did that with the way I use it, the clear would be gone in a short time. I know it won't be super polished, but something better than nothing.

My only advice is take it on wider trails. Cant help pinstriping sometimes. The tundra is wide.
