What is the best fix for scratches? I’m not looking for a miracle cure, just something to make them less visible. I’ve read a few threads but couldn’t find what I was looking for.

These are on the hood. It’s from where a ratchet strap that was holding a kayak loosened and I wasn’t able to stop right away and tighten it. It bounced around for a few miles and scratched the hood.

    Thanks for any help.

Simplest / cheapest to start with is Meguair’s Scratch X. You can get it at Walmart or an auto parts store. I’ve gotten some pretty good scuffs out with it, but not sure how much it will help what you have. That looks pretty bad.

Thanks. It does look bad but it doesn’t seem that deep. I didn’t even notice it for a week because the truck was dusty. I’ll try the meguairs first. I was thinking of trying an auto detailing shop and see if if they can clean it and fix it too.
