Thought I would share this. The forum is a great place to get info and wanted contribute. I picked up their new Magic Mount 3 Dual Pivot.

I originally bought the weathertec cup phone but it didn’t quite fit into the coin cup. It would either sit too high or wiggle around depending on size cup I used. The magic mount is awesome, sturdy, great fit for the location, and great quality. Very happy w/ my purchase. I have an older phone so can’t use the charging feature until I upgrade the phone.

I was considering the cup phone for that same location. Did you have the extension also. The cup part did not fit the opening???

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, tried the cup phone 1st. Cups were either too large and didn’t go all the way in or too small and wiggled around. Needed the extension. The quality of the Scosche is better than the cup phone. The tech and the magnetic hold is better than the plastic stackable cups. You also can simply place the ph on and take it off the magnetic plate vs having to loosen and tighten a screw each time you use it.
The nice thing about WT is you’ll always have a drinking cup handy
