Based on comments I read either here or on AS forum I purchased a ScanGauge II which connects to the truck diagnostics plug. Seems ScanGauge has many predefined things it monitors, but to set up for transmission and engine oil and I think water temps you have to program in some “XGauge” codes relative to your vehicle. I went to their website and honestly cannot make “heads nor tails” about their referenced codes. Of course, I’ll send them email tomorrow seekeing help. Have any of you other recent model Tundra SR5 Tow Package owners had to go to their CS to figure out which codes to use? Thx

I have one in my 2013 but never messed with the codes. Their newest firmware has codes for tire pressure monitoring now.

    RXF: 046105820000
    RXD: 2808

Is there a "simple" way to program the codes? I have never done it on mine. Thanks.

You can look it up in user manual or the online user manual, I would have cut and pasted it but my internet is ultra slow because of Covid users around me.

    Function before sparkle.
Can it do tire pressure and AT temps at the same time? OBD Fusion for iOS can't as they are on different communication networks.

The ScanGauge allows 4 different measurements in the window at one time.

Thanks, exactly what I am looking for. The tech support at ScanGauge said they did not know for my specific truck (although I told them the specifics) and that I would have to try programming each one for the 2010+ Toyotas and see which worked.

I was at a loss at first but watched the video's and used the codes posted here on the forum and now I'm watching my trans temps. If you screw it up just reset and do it again.

    Questions for you guys

So I used these code an they seemed to work okay.. what should I expect for an initial reading? One looks normal on a cold start at about 80 degrees? It's hot her today.. but the other tf1 looks odd is it saying -39? Is that right? What would that be??IMG_20200624_173410.jpg

I tried the 4 variation s they list online for 2010 plus but the only one that works is the 2808 or the "TF2" listed above

at startup, transmission pan and transmission torque converter and water temperature should all be the same as local outside temperature, my 2018 does. I monitor both transmission temps and engine water temp on my ScanGuageII, so its easy to check. You need to check your inputs into ScanGuage.

** Edit it was my error I had 2802 not 2808. Now it works great.. Thanks HTGreen**

Yeah so the TF1 based on the code you supplied must not be reading right on my truck.. I tried all the others listed online and none of the others seem to work either.. grr their customer service told me to try them all . They also said I could try the 3.5l ones .. I guess the sensors can vary depending on when and where it was manufactured..

HTGreen: Where did you find the RXD 3808 for Trans Temp 2 on the website? I only see 3008 under transmissions headings. I’ll try the 3808, but curious. thx, stephen

Yeah I noticed the same error myself but the ones posted do work. Probably some lazy ass at scanguage never bothered to correct the mistake.

I don't recall, I came up with it back in 2015 when I had a Tacoma, probably on the Tacoma Forum.

I've been trying the other Toyota codes listed, and found on internet for transmission lock up, but no luck for my 17 Tundra. Anyone have one that works?

The OBDLink app with the manufacturer specific extended PID's is pretty insane in what it can see. It can see all of the modules in my Lexus GX down to the seats.

You have to buy one of their OBD bluetooth modules but its worth it.

I tried all 4 codes from the scangauge site. None of them works. Can someone with a pre-2013 that has working codes take some snapshots? I'm about to go over Vail and eisenhower pass and it would be nice to monitor the temps.
