Same price that I paid for the older version in Sept '21. I'm impressed with mine. A must for towing.

I like this SGIII. It autoscans for vehicle protocol and X-Guages as well. Should find stuff like trans temp and TPMS easily.

Ordered one last Friday. It shipped quickly and had it early this week.

Only had a chance to run a quick Op Check on another vehicle. Couldn't test the X-Gauge autoscan since it doesn't support my test vehicle's make for this feature. NOTE: It does support Toyota and Lexus for X-Gauge autoscan

Looks like it merged the functionality of the ScanGauge 2 and Scan Gauge E which is a plus for me since I ran both on my Tundra. You can't daisy chain these since it only has one port but you wont need to since you can track all the same data available to both.

As far as data viewing, looks like it lets you store three or four pages of parameters to track with 6 metrics on each. So you can swipe or select tabs of what you want to monitor. It also has a predesigned fuel tab if you need to track those metrics. Overall the quality looks nice, it comes with a suction mount with a magnetic holder, good if you want to hide the gauge from thieves. The ODB cable looks to be the same as the older models and runs about the same length.

Will provide more feedback when I get my Tundra back from the shop next week.

It looks like it's worth the money. I just have to figure out where I would put it since it probably won't fit where my SGII is.

I had my original set up by the vanity mirrors/visors at the top of my windshield. Drawback is it made my visor unusable. I originally had it mounted above my mirror but this gauge is taller, about three scan gauge 2s high. Correction 2 gauges high.

Can anyone give me an idea how quick the update rate is on the screen of scan gauge 2 or 3? I'm thinking of engine speed and percent load. I'd like to see something quicker than every 1/2 second for those signals. Thanks.

Where are you mounting it? This is where my SG2 is.

Figured this was a good recent thread to ask this question. Does anyone know of the codes for the Scangauge to display torque converter lockup? I’m not positive that it is capable of showing it, but I want to say it should be possible.

About time linear logic updated the design. I ditched my SG2 for an Ultragauge like 10 years ago. I'm in a different truck and still use it. These little digital gauges are must haves.

Dang this new one looks nice. I’ve been considering ordering the SG2 to add some more monitoring to my LS swapped CJ with adding a bunch of gauges. Might have to get the SG3 instead.

I'm on the back side of adjusting it to the fuel usage rate - due to the tune/injectors.

I like the alarms you can set. i.e. I get a buzz if I go over 500 on the MAF. also if I go over 205 on the trans.

    I'm still learning tho'...

Just received mine today. Does anyone know if it's supposed to come with a user manual, or just the quick start guide?

I ordered a magnetic ball mount from 67d, to fit the 20mm arms I used on the Rago dash plate. I will post pictures once it's mounted.

Now, time to figure it out..

with scanguge 2, it modified the fuel usage % when you did a fill up.

with SG3, it appears you have to go to setup & modify "fuel flow" in the setup menu

with my tuning (650cc injectors), I'm at ~41% positive adj. or thereabouts. LOL
If I'm doing this wrong, someone holler. I did the fill-up thing, per instruction, to no avail.

other than that...I like this new version.

I wish it dimmed with the dash.

It is disappointing to hear they changed this. Hopefully they change this with an OTA update.

The directions say it works the same.
    It must be me.

I’m still dickering with it every 1/4 tank

I would suspect it would recalibrate when I put in the gallons at fill up

I haven't purchased one yet but I did reach out to them to see if an actual user manual is available yet. They only have the quick user guide available on the site.

I still have not gotten the mpg to adjust to the 650cc injectors.

however...I think i know what the problem is. ME.

when you input the gallons, the way to exit is not intuitive. and I am exiting the screen that says "exit without saving?" and I'm saying yes. I just noticed that. I assumed it said save changes.

next fill-up next week...I bet it works then.

What fuel cut off are you using? I vaguely remember 24 when I set up my first gauge.

I have not even fiddled with fuel cutoff.

when I used the SG2, i just let it calc via the fillups.

I did try to change "fuel flow rate", but that made no diff.

I think the issue is me....when you fill up, the question is "end without saving?" i chose yes.

    it should be "save changes"

I'll give it one more fill up before I gripe.

I'll be that guy in the Costco gas lane sitting in my car after I fill up - pissing everyone off.

and it did not change the mpg rate

Sweet @nobodyintexas. I ordered a few different mounting solutions to test placement. So far it is looking like 12 o'clock behind the wheel.
