Installed my birthday gift yesterday! Man, what a huge difference! Curvy roads, making turns, and even straight highway driving are much much better. I have the standard SR5 suspension, so this sway bar is amazing. Say YES!

Happy birthday!!!! Congratulations on installing your TRD sway bar. Very smart choice. This is a very much needed mod. I installed mine on my truck a few days ago and it’s been the best mod I’ve done so far. I think the red color on TRD upgrades look very sexy on my truck. I can’t wait to install the front sway bar next week.

Yes they are awesome! Love mine, I especially like when I load up the family and head off to the mountains, it really shines! The tundra has a standard front sway bar but there is a trd replacement for the front, it’s almost identical but it’s heavier which people says helps reduce sway more, seems to be the case on mine.

You guys let me know how the front TRD sway bar works out for you. I have watched a few vids and seems like it's a GO!

    Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Also the front trd sway is red like the rear and looks good.

That looks great man! I guess I will be getting one soon!

Did you put the grease inside the rubber bushings? I forgot to do it and plan on taking them back off and doing it today.

Love those man!!! I was about to ask him about those.

I have a Rough Country 3 inch leveling kit on the front with 1 inch spacer on the rear. My factory UCAs seem to have the tire and wheel at a slight slant.

Another option for the front sway bar if you can find it for cheaper would be the Sequoia front sway. Supposed to be an upgrade as the wall thickness on the Sequoia bar is better than the tundra. Then you could paint it red and pretend it’s TRD LOL

Just pop the tundra one back in. Tell her the Sequoia will flex much better now going over speed bumps at the mall.

Fill me in when you have time on an affordable replacement for the UCAs. Got to get rid of that slant on the wheels and tires.

Yea I used the grease, that came with. Hopefully it won’t be too much to get it done, but definitely recommend it.

I’ve run total chaos arms and these JBA arms. Tell you the truth I think they are both great but the JBA feels a touch more sturdy. Although it was two different trucks, but I’m impressed with JBA. The owner (Marlin) is super cool and the price is right and just looks cool too lol.

Took me a while to decide which thread to post this on, so this is the lucky one. Installed the TRD Rear Sway bar yesterday and just wanted to share my experience in hopes that it may help someone.

This may be common sense, but pre-assemble as much as possible. This way you can lay everything out and not be wondering if you forgot a washer, etc.

Watch the YouTube videos on this. Yes, I could have thrown this on in about 30-45 minutes with some help, but I try to be meticulous and with my OCD, took me about 1.5 hours doing it by myself. More on that later.

I do recommend using the anti-seize on the bolts that don't have the Nyloc nuts. It is not mentioned in the included directions but one of the YouTube guys shows how and where to apply. I also set everything to torque specs, so that took some extra time.

Didn't have any major issues, but I (my OCD) noticed that the end links didn't really come down vertical like they should have. They were both tilted toward the cab slightly. Also, one of the shackles on the differential was leaning in toward the middle, so that bothered me all day.

After driving it around last night and today, I wanted to check everything, retighten all of the connections, and straighten out the aforementioned parts. Did so this afternoon and glad I did. Seems to drive even better and I can really tell that it's there now.

Hopefully, in the pictures you can see before and after where one of the shackles was leaning. The 'after' pic still looks like it's leaning, but looking at it straight on it is perpendicular to the diff. Also, an after pic of the end link more vertical than it was initially.

One tip from the video that I did not follow and should have was to make sure that the top of the diff does not have any junk on it. Pretty sure that's why one of my shackles was crooked initially. Before reinstalling, I brushed with a wire brush and sanded a little to make sure it was smooth.

Long post, but hopefully this helps someone.

Front sway bars do on all. (Non-TRD version on the Non-TRD trucks). Rear comes only on the TRDs, I believe.

Looks sweet and glad to hear they handle so well. I’m having mine installed on Thursday. Now I’m a lot more excited instead of nervous.

I had been watching the videos for some time in anticipation of purchasing mine. Figured I would install, but thought I would get quote from dealership just for kicks. They quoted $100, so not sure if you are paying that much, but it's a fun project if you want to attempt to install. Fun, slightly challenging, but easy.

Under most circumstances I would install it myself, but I have bruised ribs. I would say it’s a super easy install based on the Toyota install sheets. Dealer is giving me a good price on the install too.

Great job on installing the rear sway bar. I recently installed my rear sway bar on my 2018 truck and it has been the best mod on my truck so far. This weekend I’m installing the front sway bar but I’ve had a problem with Toyota. So when I bought the front sway bar from Toyota dealer, it was so damaged. There were so many paint chipped off the sway bar. Toyota told me it does not come in packages. I was really upset about it. But Toyota got one for me that wasn’t that bad. All front sway bars come with some paint chipped off the bar. Really upsetting but there is nothing you can do about it. A lot of people have told me that it’s a lot better drive when you have the front and back sway bar installed. I can’t wait.

If a local dealer quoted you $100, you should buy it before he changes his mind. @Roman is selling them cheap at $216.60. I worked in a dealer parts department, and mark up is often 100% or more; $100 must be his cost.

If $100 is his cost on the sway bar, we're getting shafted, and I need to buy everyone he has. Pretty sure he was talking about $100 for labor, though. :D

LOL...Yeah, that's about the going rate for an install. Makes more sense.

    Say Hell YES!

I had a Hellwig on my T100, and I installed a Hellwig on my 1st generation Tundra. I had planned on installing a Hellwig on my 2007, but it was easier to get the shorter end links with the TRD bar. The shorter links are required with my rear only lowering kit. Installation was a little more involved, and well worth the extra effort. I left the factory front bar in place, because a larger bar on a RCSB is said to make the ride harsher.
