So, the detailer and quite a few people have commented on the Blue Sapphire flecks in the black paint on my 2019 TRD Pro as if they really hadn't seen that before. Curious if the other years going back have that same make-up? It really pops, especially with a ceramic coat on it.

So there's a long standing rule (tradition?) in Japanese culture regarding the color black and that there shouldn't be the color black. I can't recall the reason why here. But forever the Japanese car/truck and motorcycle manufactures have put colored flakes in their "black" paint. Blue is very common. And in the right light and conditions it can look really awesome.

Love that others are awe struck by your Tundra.

Yep. Spent 4+ years there. Only black vehicles I saw were government vehicles.

You know, every country has ninjas. You only hear about the Japanese ones because they’re really shitty at it.

I was told that only official government vehicles could be black. This was in the mid 80's

Adams uses their own ceramic coating that they developed. Harness of 9H using the Pencil Hardness Test.
