I justbought a Leer XQ hard top shell for my 2019 Tundra TRD PRO. The bed is slightly sagging now, that the hard shell is installed. What's the best way to fix the sagging bed problem? Thanks

    Define "Sagging Bed"?

Are you saying that the weight of it made the entire rear end drop (springs are more compressed now)?

Lots of ways. Best way depends on use. For me it would be add a leaf or new springs

Must be a pretty heavy shell. I vote Add-a-leaf

Almost every trd pro I have seen looks nose high to me, I would only imagine a cap would make that even worse. You probably need new leafs packs or at least an add a leaf

I think a good cheaper route would be an add a leaf. Since the weight will always be on the back of the truck it will probably still ride nice. I think add a leafs may ride a bit stiff if the truck is unloaded. But if it’s always going to be there it’s a good option. Also add some nice shackles and polyurethane bushings. I bet it will ride nice.

The weight of the hard top shell made the entire rear end truck bed drop slightly. The springs are probably slightly more compressed now.

I would go with an add a leaf. Just lifting the back doesn’t help with the additional weight.

It’s not so much that his suspension is sagging. It’s just too low in relation to the front since the pro has a 2 inch front lift

True. I’m in the same boat. Waiting for my CB#3’s so I’m not starring at the sky when I haul something.

Those Coachbuilder +3's are no joke. I have over 700 lbs of weight equipment in the bed.

My shell weighs in at 300'ish lbs. That's one reason I went with the Dakar spring pack.

With sustained weight I would probably be inclined to do add a leaf as well. I went that route with my 2007 Tundra that had a cap and it worked great. On my 2016, I used shackles and am happy with those as well, but if the weight is around to stay you might as well use the extra spring.

But aren’t the shackles just masking the issue? You’re raising it up an inch and three-quarter’s to compensate for sagging. The stronger springs would hold the weight. Now if you put something in the bed it’s still going to sag since the shackles don’t increase payload.

What leaf did you end up adding? I just got a Leer XR canopy and the Decked system, now fully loaded with all my work gear and am experiencing the same thing. I wanted a leveling kit but definitely need to help out the rear end before I even consider that now

I have an xq on my Pro as well...definitely some sagging. Is there truly an issue or just visual preference? Also, novice here and don’t know what a leaf is or how you go about having one installed...any input if this is a necessary fix or just a visual fix would be appreciated.

Here’s a leaf pack. This is what helps you with your payload in the back

Correct. But i never use the bed really it’s just to correct the lean from the cap. A new leaf pack would be ideal really but I’m not going drop that kinda cash cuz the canopy sags the rear a half inch or whatever it way be.

I too don’t want drop that kinda cash on a new leaf pack because I don’t use the bed that much. Keeping the shell on so that’s not a option. I just want the rear sag gone but the PRO dual exhaust will has some issues under certain circumstances if third-party shackles are installed and I don’t want any problems in the future. So I think I have come to the conclusion there is no simple and inexpensive remedy for the rear sag on my PRO.

Wow! How about a $100 tough country add a leaf? Gain 500lbs in payload and raise the rear 1.5”. If $100 is too much then I guess this idea is SOL as well.
