    September 13, 2023

PLANO, Texas (September 13, 2023) – Toyota is conducting a non-compliance safety recall involving certain 2023 model year Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles in the United States. Approximately 21,780 vehicles are involved in this recall.

Due to system errors, the subject vehicles equipped with a Toyota Genuine spray-on bed liner accessory could have received a load-carrying-capacity modification label that does not meet the requirements of a federal standard. A vehicle which is loaded beyond its load carrying capacity may have an increased risk of crash.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will replace the load carrying capacity modification label with an updated one at no cost to owners. For all involved vehicles, Toyota will notify customers by the middle of November 2023.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

For any additional questions, Toyota customer support is also available by calling the Toyota Brand Engagement Center (1-800-331-4331) for Toyota vehicles.

I don't want to live on this planet any more.

    What's next?
"Caution, wheels and tires spin when vehicle is in motion."
"Warning, place all body extremities inside the vehicle before closing doors."
"Danger, keep eyes open and seat in upright position when using vehicle's cruise control system."

Some will be a ghost recall. There’s a couple of folks that have the option on their window sticker but no bed liner .

Nice, the solar octane pro I was allocated that's been sitting on the lot since August 9th waiting on the fuel line fix will probably subsequently sit for another month after all the label makers simultaneously fail and can't be repaired due to chip supply issues. Just mentally preparing myself now.
