Is it ok to leave the cover off the back of the bumper exposing the fog light assembly like this?

Didn't put bigger wheels or tires on my truck because I was worried about rubbing like I read, but had some on passenger side anyway, in reverse only, and this was my tire shops solution.

Switched from stock wheels and Michilin LTX tires, to Dirty Life wheels w/0 offset and ko2 tires. Added Bilstein 5100's all around as well, which raised me up a little, and has me even more surprised about the rubbing...

Any ideas why this would only be happening on 1 side? Am I ok to leave that piece off? Any better suggestions?

What size tires you put on? How wide is your wheel?

I’ve had mine off for six months now. I’ve been meaning to cut the plastic up and reinstall to avoid tire rubbing but have been lazy about it. Sometimes gets muddy if I splash through a mud hole, though, so I have to wash it off to lessen the risk of any problems. So far I haven’t had any issues, though, but it’s only been about 6 months.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
I got 295/65/20s, BFGs and 3/1 Toytec lift. I had to massage the inner area a little for all to fit.
