I'm looking for 05 Rubber front floor mats.
Weathertech looks good but I want rubber mats that will cover the carpet like the OEM mats do and also the door sill or scuff plate.

I dont want a bunch of crap collecting in between the carpet and the plastic door sill . if that makes any sence

Any of you guys know if the weathertech mats do that?
Show me pics of what you have and how you like them.

The prior owner of my ‘05 put Husky liners in and I’m glad he did. They’ve got the lip you mention and the rear is seamless, full coverage. I’d recommend them.[IMG]

That side lip is especially helpfull, as these floors are slopped hard right at the transition to door sill. My OEM ‘All Weather’ Tundra mats do not have that lip. Once the water builds up it over flows. Also, debris rolls off and collects in that corner.

Other than that, I really like the original mats look better. The Huskys seem more efficient.

The newer Husky X-act has the piece that goes over the sill to keep dirt from going in between the mat and sill, which I think is one of the things OP asked about.

It looked so good when it was clean! I am sure putting them to work, and they are doing exactly what they are supposed to. IMG_20181022_075225.jpg

Hard to find for 1st gen

On the Husky website the floor mats look like crap and look like a big rubber rectangle.

Those, definitely, look like they've got a better fit and finish than mine.

Weathertech still offers the custom mats for the 1st gen, I can't vouch for their quality though.

This is the problem from what I’ve read on online reviews. The 1st Gen has a different foot print and style compared to 3rd Gen.

What did you end up ordering Jerry? My original Toyota rubber mats have holes in them. It's time to upgrade.

I havent had the money to get anything yet. (semi universal fit) sounds like they are not going to work well.

I want to give Weather Tech a try, but with no overtime at my job makes regular bills hard so spending 100+ on floor mats is not doable for me. My truck is at home with a dead battery so Mats will have to wait.

I have a set of Weathertechs for the front and back. They fit well and do the job. They actually fit better than the ones on my Land Cruiser which seem to slide around a little. I had to put double sided tape on them. In the Tundra I haven't had the same problems. I have the tan colored ones because of my interior color and the fact that mud and dirt doesn't show as much. Hope this helps.

HID retrofit headlights from Lightwerkz, Morimoto LED fog lamps from Lightwerkz. JL audio upgrade from Tech12Volts, Powdercoated factory black wheels local, ESP rear storage trays under seat, bed cover by BakFlip, bed liner, console safe, LED light bar by Back Country. Weathertech floor liners and ventshades. TRD rear sway bar. TRD Pro exhaust, TRD Skid plate, Fortin EvoOne Remote start from Anderson Electronics.
I had trouble finding the right Husky mats for my 15 Sequoia as well, I didn't know about them prior to outfitting the Tundra, and I chose the Weather Tech digital cuts, which other than some settling issues have served the truck well. Looking back, I believe I would have tried the Husky mats. The Sequoia is getting a new set of Toyota factory all weather mats next week, it's just gonna have to do for now. You may have better luck checking that well known auction site that rhymes with fleaspray, they at least show you pictures of what your getting. Sometimes brands phase out one model and start making another one, you can find older discontinued stuff there for cheaper.
