I ordered the RR6 in Bronze with black ring and gold bolts

Strange the only color option that's not available in the RR7 is the bronze in 5x150 or I would have bought those.

Ok final invoice paid and should get the wheels soon. The current invoices going out are for all instock wheels. My order did include the free lugs. I'll keep everyone posted on progress.

It showed 2 different rings, I asked for the ones where the bolts sit flush with the indents next to them. Are the beadlock rings different? Or are they only including the flat rings?

The flat rings are the "Protection Ring"
The "Beadlock" has the indents and more recessed bolt

They're only including the protection rings in the group buy

Wow.. Nothing I could find on the site I could see to tell the difference. I guess I may try and call to cancel the protection rings and wait on the beadlock style. Do they say when they will release those?

You can see the images here for the differences. I believe you can order the rings direct from RRW but they're not on sale and there's a production lead time.

I can see the differences, I meant as the difference when ordering. I didn't see where it was clear about the rings. I just went back and read where it says NO BEADLOCK. Long day yesterday and saw this thread late for the group buy so ordered ASAP so i didn't miss it haha. I guess I'll wait and order those later. I think any of the rings still look better then having them naked so It's cool. Learned something new. Appreciate it.

Agreed they should have differentiate the two a little more clearly. i only figured it out when i found the build page for that red 4 runner with gold RR7’s. He stated he had the beadlock version. I am going to countersink the screw holes, buy flush bolts. Also headed to a fab shop that’s going to weld my bumper together and see if they can’t chamfer the edges on the rings. Otherwise i may just angle grind and smooth file them down to make them look a little smoother and more natural. It’s all extra work sure, but it’s cheap work. I’m never running beadlocks and shelling out $190 for each ring for aesthetics is a little rich for my blood. Just something to consider.

Holy sheet, I thought those were for all 4 like the protection rings lol I may be doing the same then haha. Thanks for the heads up man.

I've only ran Volk TE37s on all my trucks and never ran off road so hard i'd ever thought of beadlocks lol They do look great though, Maybe down the road.

the protection rings and beadlocks rings are made in usa I believe. vs the rims mass produced in Asia.

protection rings came to about $130 ish for 4 since 30% off vs 25% with no rings/just rims.
    imo a good price.

Another thing for you guys to consider. I am running extended front studs as the stock studs don’t leave enough purchase room for regular conical lug nuts. You all may want to email rrw and ask about e.t lug nut capability with these wheels. I posted a write up on changing the studs it’s super easy. Just search it on here. I was not comfortable just relying on e.t lugs to hold the wheels. The front studs are the only ones that need changing as the thickness of the front rotor is more than the rear

I also ordered the open end lugs from RRW. How much longer studs did you install? And where did you get them?

Thats good to know about the Stud length. I'll check out the write up and swap them for piece of mind.

I was looking into getting the Rays black lugs:

    https://www.icbmotorsport.com/raen42dunutl.html

I really want Kings 3in lift with remote reservoirs but everywhere is sold out so I was thinking of doing the Westscott for now until they have more.

I’ve had luck using ET lug nuts with my other brand wheels such as methods. Is there something specific to RRWs that makes ET lugs not work properly? If you can get at least 8-10 threads of engagement should be plenty with ET lug nuts otherwise.
