Thought about going 35s but I'm trying to do the bear minimum to clear big enough tires without do a cab mount chop.

That's my plan if I keep my order but on 37s and beadlock ring. My current order is for the wheels only but adding rings later

I’m a big fan of these RRW’s. I have the RR7’s ran with the Beadlock rings. Zero issues out of them and they look great!

I ordered the protection rings, imo it was a good deal because now you were hitting that 30% discount instead of 25%.
I think it came up to $130 ish for 4 protection rings when you take into account the extra discount on the rims.

same here, im not a fan of the hardware though...if the protection rings had recessed bolt holes like the bead lock rings the hex hardware would look good, but when the hex head it just sitting flush on the surface of the ring it looks unfinished. im going to look for some button head allen bolts to replace them.

Just a heads up, The bolts that RRW sends is sub par. The gold parts will turn silver in no time and the bolts will corrode if exposed to harsh winter road chems. I plan on getting some Arp Bolts to replace mine but mine are holding up with weekly washes of the truck. Also remmeber to use anti-seiz on the bolts weather doing protection rings or beadlock rings

this is going to sound stupid but can you use the bead lock rings as normal rings? as long as the bead is inside the lip it shouldnt be an issue right? I like the recessed bolts and machining opposed to the flat protection ring

Yes you can there has been others that have done the same. The issue I have seen with it is there will be a gap between the ring and rim that can trap dirt rocks etc etc. Doing this also sets the ring further outside the tires which will put it closer to making contact with rocks etc if you wheel offroad frequently.

You can put some OMF rock domes on there. Most protection rings are like that. They are laser cut flat steel to keep replacement costs down. They're not doing anything aside from absorbing damage.

thanks man, I know the bead lock rings are 5/8" thick, and the protection rings are thinner at 1/8th inch thick, so I can get away using 20mm long bolts

Anyone have good recommendations on tpms sensors for these? This is my first Toyota, are they real finicky about the sensors used?

Going to sell my wheels as a package, still have a decent amount of tread on them, can probably recoup a decent Chuck of the cost of the RR7’s

ahh ok, well I know at our dealership in the bay area each sensor is $126.00 and $190.88 to program, plus install, which if your doing at the time of tire mount and balance we only charge an extra 20 bucks or so. so thats a little over 720.00 not factoring in tax on parts. selling the wheels as a package might not save you much in the long run, id pull the TPMS out, stuck rubber valve stems in and sell like that.

costco charges $70 for 4 new tpms iirc if you buy tires from them and have them install/balance. Aftermarket tpms sensors.
