Rpm Jump

    Is it normal on a 2006 tundra for the idle to pick up when you use fan control. I heard it was but not positive. Its done it the entire time I've owned truck. Its not hurting anything but makes truck wanna jump forward when stopped.

    If you're selecting Defrost, or a combo of Floor/Defrost, the AC compressor is being utilized to dry the air, which will bump the idle speed up by a few hundred RPM. That RPM jump could make the truck want to move a little when your foot is on the brakes.
