I’ve never seen that one mentioned here.
I have seen most people talk about the Hypertech calibrator.

However, I read recently that YellowBox now offers a plug and play version for Tundras. That’s what I plan on going with. Mine is only off by about 3-4 MPH so it’s not a huge priority.
I do have a YellowBox in my Tacoma, though. Had it for almost 10 years. Great product, best price, awesome customer service.

I’ve heard of the yellow box ones. I think just just go inline with the Hall effect sensor to correct the output of the sensor. The hypertec and supposedly the rough country one programs it to the exam/pcm? Doing it that way in theory wold correct shift points along with speedo/odo. But I didn’t know yellowbox made one for the tundra.

That hypertec is pricey. But the rough country one brings it down enough for consideration

Will this work on the 19 Tundras, even though it says 14-18, how much different can the 19s be?

I’m not sure, I went ahead and ordered it as my 35’s will be in next week. So I’ll report when I get done installing them and this guy. It looks just like the hypertec one pretty much

Apparently rough country speedo correct uses Hypertech’s program. So it’s pretty much the same thing for $100 cheaper.

Installed it and compared to several gps devices as well as interstate radar (ones in speed traps or construction zones). It made my speedo spot on when compared to all devices. I am less than 1mph different.

feels like it drives just like I had the stock 285/55r20’s. Slightly slower accel from the added weight maybe but prob not by much. I don’t have shifts that seem like they take longer. Up-shifts and down-shifts all about like normal (had the truck stock for 50k miles) to me.

Tyler you might look into a gear change if your going keep the 40s on for a bit.

I'm in the process of installing 4.88s/Auburn right now, trying to keep it below $2,000 is not easy.

I don't have any input on the product you posted OP but just wanted to add that I find it strange that my new 19 XP with 20's and offroad wheels MPH is off even from the factory. I have a radar on a street near me and it reads that I'm going slower than my Tundra is reading. I am kind of stunned that even from the factory, Toyota didn't recalibrate these trucks with factory packages.

You could always re-gear just the rear end first. At least that would bring your road/ highway power back while your wallet recovers.
Obviously you would want to make sure not to use 4x4 for any reason until they are both re-geared.

They are mostly all off from the factory. Having the speedo read a little faster than actual removes liability from Toyota in the sense that you can't blame them for getting a speeding ticket.

yeah, ive pretty much thought of everything and every loop hole lol but i think we'll give this a shot and see what happens. Once the truck goes under the knife, ill get it all done at once

Good call, IMO. I'd hate to lose 4x4, cuz I KNOW that would be when I needed it. Better to only have it in the shop once instead of twice anyway, right?

ya I hear 40’s is when everyone re-gears. I think some 37’s do. I might re-gear but if I do it’ll be for lockers. It hasn’t really bogged down with the 35’s but I bet the 40’s make it feel different for sure

Its actually not that bad.. yeah power is lost and the speedo is light years off, but I don’t tow anything at the moment, so the truck isn’t struggling. I drive about 55 miles a day at most and it’s 80% all highway.

Sometimes I ask myself, why do I even have 40s..? Lmao

make sure to program it first. And then also leave the program cable hanging down. Wasn’t hard. Pop off the lower trim and let them hang (don’t take them all the way off) then unscrew the cluster and unplug it. Plug the box in and put all back together. Took me about 5 mins

Pretty straightforward. I downloaded it from rc website and punched in the numbers and was good there. I just left the program cable in for the just in case it was off and I needed to change the numbers some
