As we all know, these things rip off in auto car washes and it finally happened to me. Usually it just pops off and I pop it back in but both sides completely tore off with the little clips too.

I am about to order replacements but for some reason they don't have the left side online at my local dealer parts store. Do the sides curve differently or do you think I can order two of the right ones?

I lost one years ago so I ripped the other one off. Lol

    haven’t had a problem so I guess it’s not a critical part!

I took mine off when I got the truck painted and I like the look without them. It has an added bonus of actually working to channel the rain way from my door when I open it.

I just put my driver side strip back on. It was only held on by one 3" piece of double sided sticky tape. It came off in the car wash and flapped around causing some scratches on the roof. Nothing that won't buff out but it's irritating anyway.

So mine isn't the only one that came off, that's good to know.
Now, time to find some roof rack to make good use of the space....lol

this is a great idea, even after installing the new ones they have some spacing issues and I can tell if I went through another car wash it would peel off. I think extra adhesive is needed for sure. I ordered a different 3M tape and I'm going to slap that on later today haha
