Had my Firestone Destination LE2 tires stacked next to the garage not easily seen from the street, been there 2 years with some other junk, came out today to toss a ball with the pups and 3 of 4 are gone. 4th is still frozen to the ground thats why they took the 3. I am generally a peaceful person but I wish rectum cancer on the little turd who helped themselves. Just had the police come by for pictures and a statement and nothing up on craigslist....some people just need tossing in a wood chipper.

It's a sign of the times. I feel for you. I remember a time when we didn't have to lock our doors, left the keys in the car. And prob sold them for a dime bag of who knows what. :annoyed::frusty:

I really want to know who is going to be dumb enough to buy three tires on rims?

Like my wife always says to me. If that has been there 2 yrs and you haven't touched it then you didn't need it . Lol .Sucks to have someone steal from ya - but sitting outside for two years they probably weren't in the best shape. KARMA always wins in the end.

Get a blink camera system, leave the 4th there, they'll be back for it, secure it some how they won't see, then Catch the bastards

No rims just tires, yeah after 2 years who knows I was hanging on in case I upgrade and swap my new tires over. We generally are very security conscious, lots of heroin-meth-fentanyl heads in the city and we generally lock up everything. Getting more cameras now, have one but its on the front. I'm looking into a dedicated 8 camera setup.

I just got rid of a truck load of tires and cost me $40 to get rid of them.

Three black guys stole my neighbor down the streets wife's wheelchair out of their van last week. I have them on camera in the alley too is how I know they are black. Of course with cameras in nighttime you can't get enough detail for the cops to do anything.

Take a shoebox, spray paint it white. Glue a tube from a toilet paper roll on it and put a red light on it... instant security.

I would put a chain around the last remaining tire. You know they’re coming back.

    Or.....

If the tires are worthless (probably are if sitting outside for two years anyway) and drill holes in the sidewall. Let them take the tires, free disposal and now can’t use at least one of them.

In retrospect....they were probably staring to dry rot after sitting outside for that long. They may have done you a favor lol.

Totally sucks. If I recall correctly, Anchorage had the highest per capita firearm ownership for any city of similar size compared to the lower 48. 90%+. Of course Anchorage is not crime free but I can tell you in the 10 months that I lived in my neighborhood the worst thing that happened is some local meth tweeker "broke" in to my friends unlocked 90 Cherokee parked out front and pilfered some change. Not going to kill someone over that but cross the property line at night....different story. Tweekers get some sleep during the day. Didn't hurt that there were 2 leos living on our block. I know in our house we were locked and loaded.. apparently like everyone else.Meth dipshits are stupid everywhere but in Anchorage especially can't fix stupid. The occasional stuff they'd steal usually ended up on Craigslist. "Gee.. my recently stolen tires are posted on Craigslist. Martha, let's call the leo's and have us meet them at the tweeker's house".
