Road armor is 50% off right now. Looks to be site wide. That being said, is anyone running their front bumper?

Anyone else see you get a free fridge + 30% off with purchase of a RA bumper (they have the BSM capable rear now)? Fridges looks to be a good size. If it has a danfoss compressor it’s a steal.

I running DeMello on the front and ordered the RA rear BSM bumper on January 15th, was told it would be March when I would receive it. Got an email Friday it was shipping and Estes freight called today to deliver tomorrow so less than 30 days to get mine.

‘I ordered the Rigid Industries 932513 surface mount for my rear cutouts. CCE19B94-1376-4145-B133-2AD2B308D545.jpg

You will have to cut the brackets out of to mount those Rigids. How much was the pair?

It depends on what you are using. I used a Dremel and did it from the outside and cut as deep as I could and then used vise grips to rock it back and forth to pop it off. There are 3 spot welds that you have to cut through. The brackets have to come out because the screw holes are right where the sidewalls of the brackets are. I think I posted pics of the brackets in the other thread. I also linked the Led plate lights that I used. Let me know when you are ready to run the harness...I will save your sanity on that part. By the way, the bumper itself weighs about 145 lbs. 220 lbs is the shipping weight.

Please help on this, the bumper is scheduled to arrive tomorrow between 12-4. Then I am not going to start install till I get the lights. I am going to just run hot/ground from my sPOD to my Rigid Lights so the only thing I will be tapping into for factory lights is the license plate light.

So you are just going to run the lights when in reverse and not the 3 way mode?

I want the license plate lights wired into factory wiring but the bumper lights will just be on a toggle in the sPod. I am not clear by what you mean by 3-way mode?

So on the license plate lights you will cut the bulb sockets off the ends or you could just remove the bulbs and tap into the wire. On the Rigids, they come with a 3 way switch....reverse only, off, or you can manually turn them on at any time.

‘License plate seem simple enough, the Rigids will be manual only. Dare I mention this but any tricks on removing or installing the BSM’s.

The bsm is pretty standard, the bumper has pre made brackets to attach the sensors on. It's very easy to set up

That’s pretty good timing. Are you going to mount a winch on the RA bumper?

No, 20 to 30 years ago I would have a woodie even thinking about a rear winch. But at my age there isn’t much use for one in the back. 20-30 years ago we would have a few beers and go 4 wheeling at 3:00 in the morning and get buried and need one to pull you backwards or walk to a pay phone and hope one of your buddies picked up the dreaded 3am drunk call “ I am stuck can you come pull me out”

However I would install one but my spare tire is more important because I use the bed too much to throw my spare back there.

Mine was Line-X'ed as well by the previous owner. Line-X is much more durable and better looking. I have both bumpers, step bars, and flares Line-X'ed.
