Hi all, I’ve owned my ‘16 Tundra for a few months and have already made a few mods, namely color match grill surround and TRD grill, color matched bumper covers and running boards. This site definitely makes you want to spend a ton of $$$. My mod wish list grows by the day. Haha.

I’m looking to upgrade the OEM fog lights to Rigid lights. Has anyone used the Rigid Radiance pods? I’m wondering how they would look in the fog bezel and perform. My idea is to have the backlight come on with the DRLs and the LED come on with the high beams. I had a similar setup (High beam LED pods) on my old FJ (RIP) and it worked well.

Also, is the Radiance LED backlight road legal?

do the std 2x2 ridigd SAE fogs w/ the TRD pro OEM plastic inserts and custom mount. Several posts about them if you search. i did all this for under $320! world of difference. pairs so well w/ the OEM LEDs headlights that i no longer want a HID retrofit.

I use them on my 2014 and love them.
Have the led pods tapped into the parking lights and fogs tapping in to the OEM fog light wiring.
Using the TRD Pro bezels and custom brackets..

    Alot of them
As @yosh2000 said, do the SAE approved Rigids. They will perform better due to the lens, and you wont be blinding others with the glare. I had a different set of Rigids originally and they were magnets for law enforcement. Those are behind my grill now. As far as the Radiance backlight being street legal, it depends on the color. They would have to be white or amber for most states.

Thanks for the input guys. After doing more research, I’m leaning towards the Rigid SAE pods. Although, 1LowLife, your pods do look pretty sweet. I just think I’d get more use out of road legal pods. I can always add a light bar that’s connected to the high beams.

Go with Diode Dynamics SAE fogs. Use oem fog bezel and outperform the rigid SAE fogs. The rigid radiance are not SAE nor are they even designed to be used as a fog light since they just throw light.

SS3 Pro Fog. Do your search based on model and the vehicle specific kit will come up.

I really like the look of those Diode Dynamics SAE fogs. They look like a cross between the Rigids and BDs. It looks like the square LED case has curved edges. I wonder how they would look in the OEM Pro fog bezels. They may look a little off because they don;t look to match the curve of the bezel like the Rigids do.

Damn, those amber ones look pretty sick. How is the build quality? Also, are they the 'Pro' version?

I first had the Rigid SAE and I kept getting high beam flashed by oncoming traffic.
I thought I had them adjusted low enough but I guess not.
I went with the LED pods because I rarely use my fog lights and I like the amber LEDs with my amber DRLs.
Mine are more for looks than fog light function..

Well, they do look pretty awesome. I actually like the amber DRLs, which (at least from your photo) match the Radiance backlight pretty well.

Damn... now I’m torn. I just bought the Pro fog bezels because in was originally looking to get Rigids. Now I’m wondering how the DD SS3 would fit the Pro bezel.

Is anyone running SS3 cubes in the Pro fog bezel?
