Has anyone mounted the surface mount Rigid Pods inside the stock fog light housing? looking for ideas on mounting without buying adapters. Pics any 2nd gen with rigid pods as fogs regardless of how they were mounted would be super helpful as it might give me some ideas.

    Alot of them
I have them in my 2013. I tried mounting without the adapters but it was a pain and couldn't get a good aim and they bounced. The adapters were well worth the $50.00. One note on mounting....the instructions tell you to remove the 2 center screws. I didn't like that setup. I drilled holes for the other screws and mounted all 6 with longer screws from Lowes. I'll find the instructions so that you can see what I am referring to.

I use the Morimotos LEDs. Straight swap and no adapters needed. very bright.
